The Izhketh are an arachnid-type species organized into an interstellar federation of maternal bloodlines. Each bloodline controls one or more worlds and contributes forces to collective wars. Their territory lies between the human civilizations of Arcendas and Helios, with which they have a long history of conflict.

The Izhketh expanded into the region containing the Neipas System as the humans retreated. Neipas, humanity’s ancestral homeworld, is now a dead world within present-day Izhketh territory in the Carina-Sagittarius Arm.
