Valerie Thryce, is a demigoddess of Reaves and is Paragon of the Dominion of Mankind. The Paragon's role is poorly understood outside the Dominion, but the widely accepted explanation is that she has limitless authority to command the Synod of Governors and thus the entire Dominion. Regardless Thryce is renowned for breaking with her predecessors who had attended most Synod assemblies. Rather the Paragon is usually to be found meditating or worshiping at the local Reavian Cathedral.

This has earned her the favor of the Archbishop and the faithful who join the Board of Generals to make up Thryce's largest support base. Her former Right Hand, Channon—now the First Servant—expressed difficulty in appeasing Thryce's other governors of Finance and Civil matters. Despite her rocky relationships with governance, Thryce was adored by the Dominion, and worshiped as a saint and hero. Their faith was challenged, however, during the Night of a Thousand Tears and the start of the second war of Mankind and Korinth. She has not been seen since.

Those that met the Paragon before her disappearance remark that her presence was unnerving and that she would seldom speak and had unnerving patience for drawn out negotiation. It is said, however, that the Paragon was surprisingly humorous and the depth of her faith appeared very genuine and seemed nearly as limitless as her love for the Dominion.

It is known to the Supreme Moderator that certain persons have submitted a request for correction on this article, claiming the subject to be deceased. Independent reporting has not been able to verify with any certainty that the subject has indeed been "slain and marred beyond recognition". Until such a time, no change will be made.
