Foundations Vol. 4
This update is all about worldbuilding together: an activity feed, in-project chat, a brand new dice engine, and overhauled version history.
Activity feed
See a running log of what's happening in your project: new pages, edits to maps, timelines and calendars, property changes, and new members.
Filter to Social to see just the people side of things.
Disable activity in the Integrations tab in Project Settings.
Project chat
Every project now has its own chat for your collaborators.
@-mention people or pages. Page mentions show up as cards with the page's cover image, and mentions with spaces in the name now work.
React to messages with emoji.
Disable chat in the Integrations tab in Project Settings.
View As
Admins can use the "View As" feature by clicking their avatar in the top right. See a project as your members would.
Dice
Updated 3D dice in chat, with sounds that match what they're made of: plastic, metal, stone, or wood.
Pick from 24 dice styles.
New dice tray on the chat input: choose your dice, add a modifier, roll with advantage or disadvantage, and pick who can see the result.
Type notation like
2d6+3right in a message and it rolls. Keep/drop, exploding dice, success pools, fate dice, and percentile all work.Roll requests: ask everyone to roll, with an optional check name and target. Results land on a live leaderboard.
In the editor,
DC15rolls a d20 check against 15.Dice settings: turn off sound, reduce animation, or switch to simple rolls.
Version history
LegendKeeper now saves versions on the server automatically while you work, for every kind of tab: pages, boards, maps, and timelines.
Preview any version to see the page as it was, with the changes highlighted.
Versions are grouped into editing sessions that show who was editing.
Step through versions with the arrow buttons.
Restore the whole page, just its page details, or a single tab.
Deleted tabs are now managed only in version history, instead of the trash.
Save a version by hand any time. Automatic versions are kept for 90 days.
Version history still shows this device's versions when you're offline.
Help center
New knowledge base at legendkeeper.com/help, with short video guides for most features and search.
The Tutorials item in the help menu now opens the help center.
Editor & pages
Infobox images can now be used as the page's cover, in your project and on public pages.
Lists wrap around floated images and blocks like paragraphs do.
Right-clicking a block inside a layout column opens just that block's menu.
Stopped some situations where opening a page would count as an edit.
LegendKeeper now asks before deleting a timeline group or several pages at once.
Pages open on their first tab in tab order.
Developer API
Chat messages and activity created through the API now show which API key made them.
Inline icons can be read and written through the API.
Bug fixes
A single d10 now rolls 1–10.
Other bug fixes and performance improvements.
