Chitinoids are any creature that may have a natural exoskeleton, typically made of chitin, hence the name. These include all manner of insects, arachnids, crustaceans, and other abnormal or similarly shelled creatures.

Common Chitinoids include spiders of all kinds, assorted bugs, and crabs. Less common are their larger, monstrous relatives. Some examples include the Killer Mantis, known for its claws, hooked, and sharp like blades, capable of cutting through flesh and bone, and the massive, brutish Basticrus, a solitary, crustacean type Chitinoid found upon some hot coastlines.
