Fiends are twisted, unnatural creatures that are born of corrupting myst and magics. A Fiend can come from nearly anything, from a twisted abyssal turned mindless demon, to a snake-maned horse, to an elemental that corrupts all life in its path with Undeath.

If one indulges in too much Myst of any kind, one may lose their mind, body and spirit to the powers that corrupt. As such, fiends are usually afflicted by madness, driven by an unknown force, or simply act to seek out more Myst, as most Fiends subsist by bloating themselves on, or consuming myst.
