The session begins with The Green Dragon Brotherhood at The Rag and Blade, where most of the group is buying drinks to celebrate their victory over Rehan Mund and their ascension to Crime Bosses of Rainwall City and leaders of The Red. Kraz Formalhaut has just thrown down the mysterious disc taken from Mund, and which has spawned a strange purple portal, from which two Old Ones have emergedā¦

Somehow, the group does not immediately pick a fight, and they all start feeling strange alien thoughts trying to invade their minds. Itās obvious the Old Ones are curious what happened to Mund. Once they steal that memory from the group, Greer the Betrayer begins a charm offensive, trying to communicate that the Brotherhood is picking up where Mund left off, and whatever he did, they can do.
Meanwhile, William Dune snatches up the āteleportation discā off the floor. One Old One braces him, extending his hand, clearly asking for the disc. The other begins projecting the image of The Uxul into the minds of the group. The argument with Dune gets more heated, and in a stroke of tactical genius, he simply pushes the button on the disc, opening a portal, through which he, the Old Ones, and most of the Brotherhood fall. Sooney-Crow of No Family, Kraz Formalhaut and Shiv Drinkstep shrug their collective shoulders and jump in after.
They have the strange sensation of existing everywhere at once and not existing at all.
And then they find themselves standing on a strange, barren wasteland in a land with purple skies and hot rain. They feel heavier than usual. A cyclopean tower carved into the side of a mountain looms in the distance. The Old Ones get their bearings faster than the Brotherhood and quickly psionically ratify their position as the new Mund. The party agrees to get them the Uxul, which will be challenging since they already gave it to Ur-Balat
Dune continues to argue, even as an Old One snatches the teleportation disc from his hand; Dune tries to stab it! Luckily, it is patient, and all it was trying to do was teach the group how to use the thing. Using a series of gestures and psychic images, it shows them how to use it to come to this land and how to get home. Then the Old Ones use their own disc and are gone, just as a swarm of disgusting red worms starts to fall from the sky.
The Brotherhood runs to the Tower and fumbles with the door as Shiv and Kraz are hit by wave after wave of Blood Worms. Kraz suffers worse than Shiv, but then again, he is a nerd. Sooney pulls off a rescue that spares him the worst of it (a natural 19 meant he was about to get impregnated with worm eggs!) They quickly figure out that the ring they took off Mundās severed hand will open the door and they clamber inside and out of the hot bloody worm rain.
What they find is a simple room with metal floors and walls carved from the stone of the cliff. Mund has thrown a bedroll down, and books and candles make it seem like he was just kind of squatting here. The Brotherhood goes through his things and finds a pretty good stash of magic items (details to be revealed upon attunement), surely squirreled away by Mund in his role as fence.
While searching, they discover that one of the walls is false. Itās an illusion (us modern folks would call it a hologram). They push through it and find themselves in a corridor that ends in a doorway, whose lock, while futuristic, is just a lock and is easily picked by Greer the Betrayer. On the other side, they find 3 rough cells, each containing the skeleton of a serpentman who apparently died in captivity.
Moving on, they find two more locked doors, side by side. Kraz Formalhaut peers through them with his X-Ray Specs, discovering two shafts that disappear up and down into the distance.
The party next discovers some kind of laboratory - operating tables and strange fluids fill the space, as do two fierce creatures: a two-headed lizard person (one head roughly grafted onto the neck and torso) and a 9-foot tall Ssurloc bulging with artificial muscle: clearly experiments gone wrong.
The two-headed beast assaults them psionically, while the large Ssurloc attempts to batter them with a huge hunk of metal. The party gives as good as they get, and eventually beat the creatures down, but not without having to perform feats of rescue and derring-do. Several party members come out worse for wear, but they triumph. Kraz helps himself to several potions and they continue on, finding themselves closing the loop when they pass through another illusory wall and back into Mundās squat.
Not wanting to brave the outdoors, they find their way back to the two shafts, and begin to discuss possible ways of exploring them. They gather the bodies of the mutant lizardfolk and toss them in - the left one, the body turns to dust and ascends. The right one, it turns to dust and descends.
William Dune, true to form, cuts through the exploration debate by just jumping into one - he turns to dust and begins to riseā¦
