Exploring the control room of the strange alien zoo, The Green Dragon Brotherhood finds a way to open the only unopened door - revealing a closet and a trap! One of The Old Ones' weapons had been rigged to explode, and boy did it, blowing the metal door right off its hinges and embedding it in the wall across the room. Our heroes dodge safely, however, and soon realize there is nothing else to explore, so they make their way back to the transport shafts, this time, heading down.

Turning to dust and reappearing is disorienting, and the Brotherhood soon finds themselves standing in a strange new world, less bleak than the purple planet, but no less alien. Rolling hills and forest extend into the distance - and also above and around, as if the entire world is the inside of a hollow tube.

Even more bizarrely, the party sees chunks of the forest moving - rippling and inching across the landscape. And in the far distance - perhaps a days' travel - a gently pulsing green light.

Ever curious, the Brotherhood sets off towards the light, carrying Dune and planning to investigate the moving forest along the way. They are keen-eyed and alert, and avoid any strange lurking dangers as they explore this wholly alien place, though they do find an ancient, crumbling statue of a Lizardfolk hero. No one can translate the inscription.

Cresting a hill, they observe the rolling forest floor - it is an enormous creature, bigger than a whale - slowly undulating it's way across the ground (let's call it a Bandersnatch). Brush and bramble dot its back, along with large patches of mushrooms. Cleansing Waters exclaims excitedly that these appear to be the sacred Slothshrroms his sect sent him forth to find. He cannot return without them.

The Brotherhood notices the flying creatures that surround the Bandersnatch - they land and take off, feeding on various things right from the animal's back. The Feathered Maw live in harmony with the land whales, exchanging food for protection.

Protection from what? From off-world scavengers trying to steal their mushrooms, of course!

The Brotherhood climbs onto the Bandersnatch's back, though William Dune stays beind. His/her ruined leg makes climbing an impossibility. The flying creatures attack when the Brotherhood begins harvesting.

Battle is joined, and our heroes take some lumps, though they somehow avoid being poisoned when the Maws sink their fangs. Sooney-Crow of No Family has a bad day, fumbling not once, not twice, but three times! Each time, her shot with the alien ray weapon fires directly into the back of the Bandersnatch, which causes an immediate psionic surge of great strength!

Most of the Brotherhood feels an intense pounding in their skulls, doing a modicum of psychic damage, but Kraz Formalhaut, still wearing the Old Ones mind control helmet, gets an amplified burst, blowing him off the creature and leaving him near death.

At last, they fill their packs, and the Brotherhood climbs down from the Snatch's back to rest and heal and plan their next move...

TOTAL ELAPSED TIME: One day. But does time work the same way here?
