Ian Hubert was a member of the Phanden Four party. A fallen aasimar, he was indebted to the archdevil Vazael.
After the events of Dragon of Icespire Peak, Ian disappeared and likely destroyed himself in 'one final fireball' to end his pact on his own terms.
Ian used to work in the mines of a small village, and one day he was trapped in a cave-in. He made a pact with the archdevil Veiros Vazael to survive, and the dark power made him kill nearly everyone in his village during his escape.
This haunted him for the rest of his life, and eventually he tried to do some good by signing up for a few missions by the Department of Dungeons.

Ian was instrumental in the events surrounding the town of Phanden in 3E448 when the dragon Cryovain terrorized the area around Aldrigvinter. He had a hostile relationship with Big Al throughout the story, and even scared some information out of Grannoc. Ian later found an undead horse that he named Cinnamon, who he would accompany for the rest of his time in the land.
After defeating Cryovain, Ian vowed to end his pact with Vazael on his own terms. Giving away most of his possessions to Velech, he left to go to an unknown location and aimed to end himself with one 'final fireball'. He was never heard from again, and Velech has assumed that Ian carried out this plan and is no longer alive.
