Bulwark

Overview

The knight clad in shiny armor, the shieldmaiden at the frontlines, the smith testing out their gear. All of these are examples of the Bulwark: armored warriors who throw themselves in the midst of battle to protect their allies.

They tend to have an eye for detail, as they meticulously maintain their equipment and oversee battlefields for tactical advantages.

Tropes

Knights, shieldmaidens, protectors, tanks, shieldguards.

Complexity

Recommended for new players. This Archetype is combat-focused but pretty straightforward.

Gameplay

The Bulwark is the quintessential tank. They try to get themselves between their allies and enemies and use Focus to negate damage, either for themselves or their friends. Your increased Allround Die will help you rolling for Shield and Armor to negate damage, but also for landing attacks on your enemies more reliably.
