Tactician

Overview

Strategy is key, both on the battlefield and in life. Be it a weathered veteran, a quick-on-their-feet swashbuckler, or a mathematician going through a career change, the Tactician delivers on both skill and combat capacity.

They tend to stay out of harm's way and deploy coordinated strikes and hit-and-run tactics from relative safety. Their Strategems include traps, ambushes and formations to tilt the tide of battle to your advantage.

Tropes

Commanders, generals, pirate captains, soldiers, mercenaries, advisors.

Complexity

Not recommended for new players. Familiar to experienced combat-heavy TTRPG players.

Gameplay

You're a flexible combatant with a lot of versatility, but not very sturdy. Tacticians are recommended for more experienced players that look to expand their tactical options. Stategems are reliant on specific conditions and coordination with your allies, but rarely require Focus to activate.

Cool-headed potentially allows you to get to hard to reach places as a Minor Action, using Tumble. It will also allow you to hide or take cover using Conceal, or get more information on the enemy using Deduce. A lot of the advantage here comes from the creative application of those Skills, and their involvement with Strategem's Powered Abilities.
