Their ears are packed with nerve endings that assist in the detection of ambient aether. This manifests in the often uncanny Elven ability to detect thoughts, emotions, environments or intentions.

It's believed that the Drâihari and Druhau's longer ears are a result of evolution in environments more hostile than that of Valurn. Out of necessity to be hyper-vigilant.

As a result of this high sensory ability and the Elven propensity for experiencing sensation more highly than many other races-- their ears also serve as erogenous zones.
