It has been more than 25 years since the Void Echoes were last seen in significant numbers during the Siege of Spellwhisk in 214 A.T.C. Nowadays, only very small-scale incidents occur from time to time, leaving the Voidbreakers in an identity crisis. Most packs have been reduced to mere mercenaries for hire.

By 239 A.T.C, the Voidbreaker outpost in Gentlebreeze, city of the Taufolk, now functions as an impromptu "Adventurers Camp." Here, Voidbreakers and allied mercenaries gather to find or enlist for various assignments around Sevenfold, including beast hunts, guard and escort duties, special investigations, or even treasure hunts.

For some time, there's been a request hanging on the noticeboard to explore the nearby ruins of Fallowbrae. Fallowbrae was a small human town destroyed during the Era of Beasts and subsequently abandoned. The general consensus is that there's nothing useful to find there, so the request remains untouched. Now, three relatively new members of the Voidbreakers have been assigned to escort a young scholar Henry to the ruins of Fallowbrae...
