Hidden within the foreboding Iron Peaks, on the border between Sevenfold and Bristlefur, Ironfur is a wolven mining settlement with a storied and tumultuous history.

Originally a proud hub of industry, it drew Dwarves, Wolffolk, and Pouchfoots alike, united by the promise of untold mineral wealth. Together, they carved deep into the Iron Caverns, combining their skills to extract the resources that sustained not only Ironfur but much of Sevenfold. Harmony and collaboration defined the early years, as each group brought their expertise to the tunnels beneath the mountains.

This prosperity, however, was shattered during the 245 ATC | Moonhowl Bloodbath. What was meant to be a festival, the First Moonhowl of the year turned into a nightmarish assault by the Void Echoes. Many Wolffolk perished, and the event left Ironfur scarred and haunted. Villagers speak of the night as a time when reason itself broke, when the echoes of violence echoed through the peaks and the very earth seemed to mourn.

Though the Void Echoes have long since receded, a lingering malevolent force persists in the depths of the Iron Caverns. Minerals once celebrated for their purity are now tainted, subtly twisted by whatever dark presence remains.

The social fabric of Ironfur never fully recovered. Festivals became somber commemorations, marked by quiet reflection instead of song and dance. The once-boisterous Moonhowls became nights of ritual remembrance, honoring the fallen and reinforcing vigilance against the dangers lurking in the mountains.

Interracial collaboration, while still essential, now carried a weary caution, as each group remained acutely aware of the fragility of life and trust. Even daily life in Ironfur reflects this shift. Miners speak in hushed tones of the tainted caverns, and elders warn younger generations to respect both the mountains and the dark history beneath them.
