Welcome to the world of Pokémon!

Long ago, more than a millennium past. Humans and Pokémon lived together as partners, companions, and kindred spirits across vast and varied lands. From sun-drenched coasts to snowy mountains, their cultures flourished under the watchful gaze of the Almighty Arceus, the divine architect who shaped the single world they called Earth. But harmony is a delicate thing... As human ambition swelled, so too did their hunger for power. Kingdoms rose and fell in bitter struggle, and the age of trust gave way to suspicion, envy, and bloodshed. The tipping point came during the calamitous Evolution War, when humankind, driven by pride and desperation, turned to the Legendary Pokémon and bent them to their will. Through coercion, deceit, and violence, the Legendary Pokémon were weaponized in a war that scarred the world. And Arceus wept.

In a flash of divine wrath and sorrow, the Architect sundered the Earth, tearing it into two twin realms: Terra and Mirra. Humanity was cast out, exiled to the mirror world of Mirra, never to tread upon Terra's soil again. The divine separation was final, a punishment and a plea—for balance to return. As the Earth split, the Legendary Pokémon vanished, entering a deep and sacred slumber. Their immense power now lies dormant, hidden throughout Terra, subtly sustaining the world as it heals from the wounds of war. Left to themselves, Pokémon slowly emerged from the ruins, rebuilding a world once shattered. Across Terra, nature awakened. Grasses returned where cities once stood, lovingly planted by Grass-types. Water-types called back the rivers and lakes, while Fire-types, once feared, became masters of cooking and craft. Above, in the night sky, the exiled world of Mirra glimmers—a canopy of distant lights, quietly watching.

A thousand years have passed. The Pokémon of Terra have all but forgotten what it means to say "human." Their legends speak of tall beings with strange minds and clever hands, but such tales are often dismissed as myth, relics of a world long gone.

Yet not all of humanity's legacy was swept away. Scattered across Terra are mysterious remnants of the past—devices forged by human science and ambition. Among them are peculiar orbs that once held Pokémon in stasis, either as companions or captives. Many have long since broken, but many remained intact... Still containing Pokémon sealed away since the wars of old. Adventuring Teams now traverse the land in search of these ancient relics, freeing the slumbering Pokémon within and inviting them to join the new era. But not all that awakens is peaceful. Some Pokémon, driven mad by centuries of isolation or battle-programmed instincts, burst forth in fury, threatening the fragile peace.

In recent seasons, strange reports have begun to surface. A dark affliction, now whispered as "Rageblight," spreads across the land. Pokémon once known to be gentle and kind—caretakers, village elders, healers—have turned violent without warning. Their eyes take on a crimson glow, and shadows seem to dance across their forms. Long-trusted allies erupt into rage, striking out at friends and family in fits of wild aggression. Entire glades have gone silent overnight, the inhabitants vanished or driven into madness by the Rageblight.

There is no pattern, no known cause. Some Pokemon of Kaleido Haven have started their own investigations. Meganium Dame Fern's healing breath and extensive knowledge of herbs prove ineffective against it. Psychic-types sense no mind influencing them. Even Renthos, the silent Sigilyph curator has no ancient artifact that can detect its source. The wisest Pokémon cannot explain the phenomenon...

To face these challenges, brave hearts gather under the banner of The Frontiers. The largest Adventuring Guild in Western Terra. From their base in the vibrant settlement of Kaleido Haven, they journey across mountains, deserts, and forgotten ruins, seeking treasure, lost history, and Pokémon in need.

Kaleido Haven is more than a bustling trade hub or adventurer's rest. It is a place of wonder, presided over by Kingsly the Aegislash—a noble leader who ensures fairness and protection with unwavering dedication. Generations ago, its earliest settlers witnessed a vision: A majestic, tree-like being, shimmering with every hue of the rainbow... It vanished in a burst of light... and from that place, a miracle took root—The Rainbow Tree.

This sacred tree bears Reviver Seeds, radiant seeds imbued with life-giving energy. When used, they restore fallen Pokémon from the brink, reviving them with warmth and vigor. For guilds and explorers venturing into mysterious dungeons that shift and change with each visit, these seeds are precious beyond gold.

Dame Fern who runs the town's clinic, has become the foremost expert on these seeds, using them alongside her natural healing abilities to treat the wounded and study the affliction she herself named "Rageblight." But something is changing. Each passing year, fewer seeds appear beneath the Rainbow Tree. A quiet unease stirs in the roots of Kaleido Haven, and some whisper that the tree's power is fading. The Juicy Canopy, Toast the Appletun's welcoming tavern that serves as the town's beating heart, buzzes with rumors and theories. Officer Johnny, an enthusiastic Arcanine leading Team Ember, patrols with increased vigilance, while the mysterious trading network run by the elusive Furret known only as "Fuzz" brings whispers of similar troubles from distant lands.

Most concerning of all is the annual appearance of Yunara, the mystical Ninetales said to carry the will of Articuno. During the last Revival Festival, as the first Reviver Seed fell, she offered only a cryptic warning: "Not every sickness seeks a cure." Some now connect this to the spreading Rageblight, wondering if the enigmatic Pokémon knows more than she reveals. Others believe it is a sign—of a deeper stirring, a long-slumbering truth beginning to awaken once more...
