The Leadership of the Bloomguard

The Botanist and The Gardener

Like many of the factions, Bloomguard leaders are found in both the Afterworld and Mortalis. In the Afterworld, the faction leader is known as The Botanist, leading the Twiceborn and maintaining records of the ongoing research surrounding the Universal Seeds. In Mortalis, the faction leader is known as The Gardener, upkeeping and caring for the lives around them, plant and person, through the harsh conditions of the world now.

The Botanist is currently Zoella Emberglass, a Florid woman from Brechilinn

The Gardener is currently Moss Wildpetal, a Burrowfolk person from Estilmor

The Pollinators

Within each circle, there are leaders that assist in passing information to and from the Botanist or Gardener. These are known as the Pollinators, and they are paramount to information making its way to both realms. For as all Bloomguard know, without pollination, there is no growth.

The Pollinators in Mortalis are currently:

Ayra Embercloud, an Umbran woman from Solkarah, representing the Circle of Flowers

Beznil Grumblemane, a Dwarf man from L'moranna, representing the Circle of Fruit

Saphielle Reythana, an Elf woman from Castellum, representing the Circle of Leaves

Moreah Karael, a Stellari person from Susisaari, representing the Circle of Roots

Poppo Thornburrow, a Human man from Westhaven, representing the Circle of Stems

Khagra Dilug, an Ogrul person from Dholrim, representing the Circle of Thorns

Being a Pollinator is an optional leadership position Bloomguard Twiceborn can take on. If you are interested in being a Pollinator for your Circle, please talk to the Bloomguard Warden

All other members of the Bloomguard are known as Sprouts

The Circles of the Bloomguard

The Bloomguard organizes itself into 6 different Circles, each with their own specialties, categorized by different parts of a plant. The Circles have members spread throughout the Enclaves, with reporting of activities or needs going to their Pollinator. Some Circles are more Twiceborn-heavy in membership (Circle of Flowers, Circle of Thorns), some are more Mortal-heavy (Circle of Fruit, Circle of Stems), and some have a healthy mix of both (Circle of Leaves, Circle of Roots). However, none can survive without the others' help and devotion to Tellus, making all equally important to the faction as a whole.

Your Circle as a Bloomguard Twiceborn does not have any mechanical benefit or impose any restrictions to your actions or abilities. These are purely for RP and to provide your character some backstory and motivations.

Circle of Flowers

These are the people who research, cultivate, and distribute the Universal Seeds, the sacred plants that are involved in Phytomancy. Most often these people are made up of Twiceborn, since it was discovered 3 years ago that the Universal Seed grows more powerful and more reliably in the environment of the Afterworld. It is speculated this is due to the Gods presence in the Afterworld boosting its effects.

Circle of Fruit

These are the growers, the gardeners, the farmers, and the merchants who sell and produce goods and wares for society. They are those who fill the gap to meet the needs of all. Working together with the other factions, members of this circle created and maintain the trades routes between the Enclaves after the Cataclysm. In fact, some members of this circle have successfully reintroduced extinct crop types that were destroyed in the Cataclysm, allowing for a better variety of crops to be traded around Tellus.

Circle of Leaves

These are the defenders of the Enclaves, who shield the common folk from any harm that may come to them. Whether it be from the Shroudlands, from other calamities that befall the Enclaves, or from things more insidious within, these protectors are dedicated to the protection of the Bloomguard way of life.

Circle of Roots

Those that possess the knowledge of the times and techniques before the Cataclysm. While most written knowledge was lost in the Cataclysm, the Lorekeepers of the Bloomguard were able to retain some of the ancient techniques, stories, lore, and histories of the Kingdom of Erden and the Gods. This proved vital to all the other factions during this time of reconstruction and is still a major source of information to this day. Without the Lorekeepers, there is a good chance that some of the Gods themselves might have even been forgotten. But not all Lorekeepers are necessarily historians, many of them also entertain with songs and sagas told to weary crowds to lift their spirits. During this bleak time, the importance of that cannot be understated.

Circle of Stems

These folks are the glue that holds society together. They are the planners, the organizers, the engineers, the builders. They coordinate supplies across the Enclaves and to the other factions, they reinforce the walls of the cities, they allocate resources to projects, adventures, and to retaking fallen Enclaves. Without these dedicated people leading others, the Enclaves would have fallen long ago.

Circle of Thorns

These are the Deliverers, those brave enough to venture into fallen Enclaves and recite the necessary rituals to place the sacred plants and bring forth the Gods protective auras and pierce the Shroud. Due to the dangerous nature of this work, generally this Circle consists mostly of Twiceborn, but there are recorded events of Deliverers in the mortal plane being escorted to a fallen Enclave to try to begin this process.
