Zaros

Zaros, The God that Hates, secondborn of the Aeva, God of darkness, destruction, corruption, conquest, hunger, and hate. He is associated with solitude, evil, and discord, as well as the abyss, and life and death. He is the primary enemy of the Divines found upon Thurn.

Zaros is responsible for the creation of the Abyssals, the Beastfolk, Orcs, and the Feln, as well as many other dark creatures.

As the creator of the Abyss, and the fundamental source of conflict found in the world's creation, Zaros receives little worship, save from those rebelling from the way of things, or those who wish to draw upon his strength.

He is depicted as a man of shadow, cloaked in darkness. He sometimes bears an inverted halo of silver flame, iron, or pure darkness. Most depictions attempt to juxtapose him as an opposite to Ardon. His form is often twisted and corrupt, bearing horns either upon his head, or throughout his body.

Despite his destructive and corrupting ways, Zaros and his Abyss are essential to maintaining the divine balance of Thurn. The ever-waging tug of war between light and dark is upheld due to His influence.

His symbols are the eclipsed sun, the color black, darkness, spiral horns, black waters, and the inverted halo.
