She is depicted as an artist, beautiful in her melancholy, romantic in her yearning. She is sometimes seen gemcutting, or creating jewelry, pottery, and murals throughout mythology. It is said that working with Magicite honors Katania.

Her symbol is the crystal, the blue mountain flower, paints, and the horizon.
