Alaban, the Warden of the Stars, Lord of Dread, is the God of the night sky. His domain is the edge of the cosmos, the barrier between this world and those beyond. He protects the world from outside influences, and maintains the world's relationship to those beyond. His domain is the furthest reaches of the heavens, and beyond.

It is by his power that the twin moons, Aranat and Rahul, maintain their celestial accord with Thurn.

He appears as an armor clad warrior with a blazing shield. Sometimes he is depicted as a being made of stars. He is revered as a guardian against ill omens, and seen as a patron god to astrologers and scholars.

His symbols are the shield, the grimoire, the astrolabe, the red moon, the stars, and the sextant.
