Description
Kishahr (or nuln) is an old city built around the times of bataar Khan. It once served as the capital of the principality of Nuln; a large confederation of pirates led by the brother of the king of Valon, Captain Rory.
However, after the siege by the Vidarians and their allies in the War of Nuln, the city has since been taken under the control of the Khanate. Once the lawless bastion of piracy, Kishahr now stands as a testament to the transformative power of conquest. As the southernmost city of the Vidarian Khanate, it serves as a stark reminder of the Khan's rule and his unyielding determination to bring order to the chaotic seas. Situated along the bay that bears its former name, Nuln's once-infamous port now bustles with activity as ships from across the Khanate and beyond dock at its piers.
As the gateway to the southern seas, Kishahr plays a crucial role in the Khanate's trade network, its markets overflowing with riches plundered from distant shores. But amid the bustling crowds and colorful bazaars, the echoes of the city's piratical past still linger.
Despite its newfound allegiance to the Khanate, Kishahr retains vestiges of its piratical past. Crumbling stone fortresses and weathered wooden docks bear witness to the city's turbulent history, while narrow alleys and shadowy taverns whisper of secrets and intrigue. Yet, beneath its rough exterior lies a city teeming with life and vitality, where merchants haggle over exotic goods and sailors swap tales of distant lands.
