Emil Reinn (ᛂᛘᛁᛚ ᚱᛂᛁᚿᚿ) is one of the members of the The Mistdelvers.
Emil has tattooed his spells on his body as a tattoos instead of a regular spellbook. A little sentient raven tattoo lives in the palm of his hand that he calls Smudge.
Biography
Early Life
Emil is a self-employed snow-elf who had set up a magic shop in the Cloud District that mostly sells common or uncommon items. It also had a small lab adjacent to it. It's frosty and windy up here in the upper branches. Most snow-elves here trade in timber and menial jobs that require hard labor which isn't suited for someone like Emil. So he's found his calling in studying and selling magic items which is why he'd set up shop here. One secret for why Emile's business has been going so well is because he's been buying and reselling stuff from the black market through a contact. This is of course illegal but you can't be a merchant without taking a little risk-hopefully he won't ever get in trouble with the Branchkeepers. Like many in the Merchant's Guild, he wanted to see similar businesses like his thrive in Teer and for the economy to grow, but the Branchkeepers' bureaucratic policies kept getting in the way.
He was a very nerdy wizard scribe, usually introverted and didn't socialize much outside of business. Part of the reason he loved being a merchant besides making money is he liked sharing cool things with others. He was always holed up in his shop deconstructing or reconstructing spells/items to understand them through trial and error. Make new stuff or modify stuff to sell. May have accidentally cast a fireball one too many times and destroyed his shop. Favorite hobby apart from making a good deal? Collecting cool stuff to study/sell from the black market and pissing off the Branchkeepers. A little racist towards humans. Couldn't seem to trust them or read them. Tried to be distant from them even at the Merchants's Guild. Most Branchkeepers are human. And so are pirates. They were weird and fascinating but definitely untrustworthy. Didn't get many human visitors up in his shop. He had a very large family because there are fewer elves here so they tend to have larger families like a small village. Everybody was tight with each other. But his family did forget that he existed sometimes.
