Jordtræd (ᛁᚮᚱᛐᛏᚱᛅᛐ), also known as Jordträd is a large city near the center of Teer within the High Kingdom of Jørdheim. It is built entirely within the trunk and branches of the 4,500 meter tall world-tree known as the Jørðaskr (ᛁᚯᚱᚦᛆᛋᚴᚱ) which is also a synonymous name for the city. The tree-city is the capital of Jørdheim and the holy city of Meiðrism.

The world-tree is essentially the central focal point of the entire ecosystem of Teer, as its roots stretch below most of the continent and even into the Underdark. Funeral rites in Teer, especially in Jørdheim, involve burying people in barrows connected to the roots of the world-tree where their bodies and nutrients are absorbed into the Jørðaskr.

Ash trees generally do not bleed sap, but the Jørðaskr has a large hollow in its trunk from which it bleeds periodically. The Grønhalla is situated in this hole and acts as the palace of the Fylkir and the home of the Branchkeepers. From this opening into the world-tree's bloodstream, some of the sugary sap is harvested into a sacred potion known as Eitr. It is forbidden to harm the tree for sap extraction anywhere else in the city. The Jørðaskr is alive, and in the Grønhalla hollow some of its sap becomes sentient oozes known as the Sevje-Plasmoids or simply "Sevjene". Sevjene are usually the gold-brown color of the tree's sap, but sometimes mix with metals and turn green, red, amber-brown, or silver. They act as natural dryad-like protectors of the Jørðaskr and patrol the branches of the tree usually accompanied by a Branchkeeper overseer or partner. Sevjene are considered to generally be simple-minded though there have been exceptions of intelligent Sevjene who break away from their biological programming to serve the Jørðaskr's greater will. There are criticisms of the Branchkeepers for using the natural and simple Sevjene as police-like enforcers of their will, though most Sevjene seem to enjoy doing their lifelong task of protecting the tree. They are occasionally sent out from the tree if required elsewhere, though never without a Branchkeeper escort to ensure that they or their remains return to the tree.
