A strong culture and nomadic lifestyle have given you traits you share with other Phantaren.

Your Strength score increases by 2 and Wisdom score increases by 1.

It takes some time for Phantaren to reach what their people consider adulthood at about 40. They live about 350 years.

A respect for life and other beings as a cultural norm make most good, though it’s not rare to see Phantaren individuals with weaker family ties
stray from this.

Phantaren are about 7 to 8 feet tall. Your size
is medium.

Your base walking speed is 30 feet.

You can speak, read and write Common and Nekari and another language of your choice.

Elephantine Strength. You count as one size larger when determining your carry capacity and the weight you can push, drag or lift. You have advantage on Strength (Athletics) checks made to break objects or to push, drag, or lift heavy objects.
Elephant in the Room. Your size makes it difficult to hide. You have disadvantage on Dexterity (Stealth) checks made to hide.
The Nose Knows. You have a long, flexible trunk that you can use to manipulate objects and interact with your environment. You can use your trunk to pick up and carry objects, open doors, and hold water.
In addition to the above, you can use your trunk to perform the following actions:
Use your trunk to hold a weapon or tool as if in your off-hand.
Use your trunk to grapple or shove an enemy.
Use your trunk to pick a lock or disarm a trap.

Elepani or Magnamoth. Choose a subrace.
Found in the velds and deserts of the realm’s warmer climates, they have larger ears and longer trunks. The Elepani are almost all vegetarians that have spent their people’s history as gatherers and sometimes farmers if they ever decide to settle in one place.
Found in colder climates, the Magnamoth have shorter, thicker trunks, smaller ears and lots of fur. Their fashion features pelts, leather, whale-bone and seashell. Much more at home near the water than their cousins, they are master fishers.
