A guild that was once in the business of heavily armed delivery services. The Messengers Guild existed over 80 years ago, but disintegrated after their reputation was tarnished and their leadership killed during the Hadarian Crisis.
The Messenger Guild, once a formidable force in the realm, disintegrated nearly 80 years ago. The guild, founded upon the principles of honor and integrity, would have its Paladins deliver messages and packages with unwavering reliability. Its members, were known to prioritize their vows (and thus their carried messages) above all else, even at the cost of their own lives.
However, the guild's decline can be traced back to a series of unfortunate events, including several incidents involving adventurers, scandalously failed deliveries, failed justiciar investigations and even the death of the Guilds leader. These setbacks plummeted the guild's reputation.
Ultimately, the Messenger Guild was unable to recover from these losses. The once-mighty organization disintegrated. Leaving leaving a void in the realm's heavily armed delivery services. While the legacy of the Messenger Guild lives on in some lone paladins, still clinging to the vows, handing down their teachings to squires they find along the way like hedge knights. The Messenger Guilds influence has waned, and its services are no longer available to the public.
Dispatched from Guild houses in almost every major city, the Paladins of the Messengers Guild would recieve their payment and swear their vows whenever someone rich enough to afford their services would hire them.
If a paladin would break their vows, or be killed, the Order would dispatch Holy Justiciars to investigate the matter and bring Farhlanghs justice to those who deserve it.
