A predator whose cruelty is boundless, The Frost Falcon is the Idol of merciless nature. Born of the endless blizzards and storms of The Frostfell, the barrier between the Open Skies and the Infinite Ocean. The Falcon controls the weather itself, shaping snow, wind, and ice as instruments of torment. Its wings are storms of white fire, its feathers razor-sharp, its eyes glinting like frozen suns. Wherever it descends, it leaves agony in its wake, striking not for sustenance but for the delight of suffering.
The Talons embody cruelty sharpened into instinct. They represent the predatory force in the cosmos, the urge to exploit, to inflict pain, and to revel in the suffering of others. In the Frost Falcon, this force became a living storm.
The bird Therans recount that even the most beautiful skies may hide deadly frost; the natural world is not benevolent, but indifferent and precise in its cruelty.
Some theorists whisper that the Frost Falcon existed long before the birdfolk themselves, and some even dare to theorize that the birdfolk were born from this very creature. If true, their entire existence is shaped by a sadistic ancestor, a predator whose joy is in torment. It might be why the birdfolk cling so fiercely to peace. To reject cruelty is to resist the nature embedded in their blood, to rise above The Talons that shaped their lineage.
Of course, these are only hypotheses... right?
However, a small group of birdfolk, known as The Frostfell's Talons embrace the predator fully. They dwell in the Frostfell, an icy layer of the Elemental Chaos where storms never cease and a suffering winter is eternal. There they cultivate cruelty and dominance, wielding the elements of air and water as weapons and reveling in torment.
Among the birdfolk, fearful whispers persist that somewhere in the farthest corners of the Soarlands,
hidden passages exist, gateways into The Frostfell itself. If true, it would mean the storm is never entirely distant.
