Aquitalia, the Cove City, sits deep in the swamps and amidst the bayous along the eastern coast. Here stands the underwater Great Temple of Sikarr, whose heights are used to mark the tides, predict floods, and warn of droughts. Under the stern gaze of the Harbormaster, the city's ships ply their merchant and military trades from the Adderport, a system of sea caves and hidden coves connected by winding tunnels that the city uses as its port. Aquitalia's people have had to be daring and cunning to make their home among the swamps and their living on the high seas. Humans and umbrans in particular have thriving communities here.
Aquitalia takes its inspiration and influence from the beginning of the Age of Sail, the early Age of Discovery, Elizabethan-Era explorers, and swashbucklers from various media with garb consisting of baggy sleeves, tight doublets, bodices, and wide belts or sashes.
This Enclave is fallen. Those Twiceborn and refugees from Aquitalia who fled its collapse tell terrifying stories of "the serpents returning home".
