Häxört Akademi (pronounced heks-urt) is the largest magical institution in Teer, though it is still considered to be one of the smaller magical institutions compared to others around Abmarah. Häxört initially started as a school for witches and alchemy, but then grew to encompass all students and arcane magic as a whole. Magic in Teer is considered to be a feminine art even now, and more women practice arcana than men. Häxört was said to have been founded by a hag named Myrkrboða in the second-era within the city of Ljusbro.
The academy has recently founded a smaller second campus in the World-Tree city of Jordtræd as well but are constantly at odds with the Branchkeeper druids who clash with them over a difference of arcane and primal magic as well as a suspicion of the mages being spies of Jómagarðaríki.
