Golzoorhah is an amethyst dragon that took considerable measures to oppose Xaniv the Whisperer's plan to become the new god of magic. To that end, Golzoorhah hid away in the mind of the pirate lord of envy, Xiphalia Sitarro, until the final confrontation at the Abyssgate in 3E452 during the end of Curse of the Blood Sea. Golzoorhah was cast into the The Abyss by Xaniv during the fight, leaving his fate uncertain.
He gave an 'echo' of himself named Cynthia as a familiar draconic spirit to Xiphalia and her daughter Elise Pearlwynd.
Golzoorhah was a wise dragon who came to realize through his psionic abilities the true nature of the Abyssgate as well as the truth behind Xaniv the Whisperer. He plotted against the illithilich for nearly five centuries.
In 3E355, Xiphalia was passed down the Piece of Envy by its previous holder, making her the Pirate Lord of Envy. She slowly started to become more paranoid and anxious in this new role. This got the attention of Golzoorhah, who made a deal with her, promising to protect her from the evils of the world. She agreed, and he wiped this deal from her memory, taking up residence within her head. Golzoorhah provided her with a psychic-linked echo-spirit of himself as a companion, the draconic spirit they now call Cynthia. Creating his lair within the head of a pirate lord, an elf at that, gave him ample time and security to research. Xiphalia no longer had any knowledge of a dragon living within her.
When Xiphalia had a daughter in Hyarat, Golzoorhah steered her subconsciously back towards the Cometfall Sea, and towards making her base at its edge at Shipwreck City. Decades later in 3E452, the Phoenix Nebula discovered Golzoorhah's existence within Xiphalia's subconscious. Golzoorhah tested them with a fight before they decided to help him beat Xaniv. He considered Elise much like a daughter, and explained that Cynthia was his gift to her. He helped them keep their goals a secret from the whisperer as well as locate his phylactery.
In the final fight at the Abyssgate, Golzoorhah left Xiphalia's mind and tried to kill Xaniv, but was thrown into the Abyss. This fought just enough time for the Nebula to beat him, but Golzoorhah's true fate was left unknown.
