Hyarat is a decently large city that serves as the capital of the Magocracy of Zaubarovia, hosting the College of Zaubarovia within it. Combined with the population of the College and all the merchant vessels that pass through it, it easily becomes one of the bigger and more important cities in Terros.

It is the largest settlement within Zaubarovia seconded only by Tromden (It would be smaller than Tromden if the College isn't counted!) It is one of the youngest big cities of Terros, as the port only grew after the College was founded. The city is situated on the outskirts of the expansive woodlands of the Eulebärwald.

Marking a halfway point in the sea route connecting Timeron to Aldrigvinter, the college and the city is situated on the Isswatch peninsula which serves as a source of chronostone as well as the heart of a magical leyline. The city has been raided by the Fyrstlanders over a dozen times, and had to be rebuilt from ashes at least twice in the past thousand years.

While the college takes up most of the spotlight here, there are other landmarks in the city that are fairly interesting, including the Archium Gunianus Divinus, one of the largest temples to the god Gunian that is still in use, maintained by the Wizzan Conspectus. Most of the city's permanent population is human, with a fair amount of elves and dwarves.
