Tsubi Aekai, also known as Blazar Singularity, is a character that showed up during both Curse of the Blood Sea and Shards of the Empire. He is a mercenary adventurer that has traveled all across Abmarah and other planes such as Shatterrealm.
Biography
Early Life
Tsubi was the only son of Yakuza leader Aekai Koryoku, aka Singularity. However, Tsubi once drank water from the Cometfall Sea and was possessed by a demonic aberration. Bedridden for nearly 9 years, he was close to dying.
In 3E450, his father kidnapped notable researcher Dr. Baizo to help cure him. While Baizo complied, ShÅgun Iwale sent Yatra and the crew of the Phoenix Nebula after him. After they realized what the situation was, they helped him exorcise Tsubi at a nearby temple. The aberration left Tsubi, but in turn possessed Singularity. The possessed Singularity used his gravity magic to make the entire temple rise high into the sky, and the party had to unfortunately kill him to survive the event.
Tsubi was then taken by Yatra to Snort at the Anchorage of Whispers to lay low, and had to fend off many shinobi sent to kill him even as a young kid. After Snort's death in 3E452, Yatra took Tsubi with her adventuring.
Mercenary
For the next few decades, he traveled alongside Yatra as mercenary fighters serving justice wherever they wanted to. She became a bit of an older sister for him over time. He took on the name Blazar Singularity to honor his father.
In 3E483, 45 year old Tsubi 'Blazar' and 53 year old Yatra entered the Shatterworld Tournament in Shatterrealm on behalf of Primerealm during Shards of the Empire. He and Yatra faced off against Werner von Gaten and Kai Li. Yatra's fire ended up killing Werner, who Kai-Li then revived using a revivify stored within her ring of spell storing. Yatra then ended up killing Kai-Li, but the revived Werner took her down and almost killed her in return. Tsubi then called off the fight before Primerealm lost for no reason and Yatra actually died, letting them win. Kai-Li was then revived, and Yatra and Tsubi spectated the rest of the tournament and watched Primerealm win against Khaz Jiik-Han.
Timeline
3E438 - Tsubi Aekai is born to Koryoku Aekai in Cinohshima.
3E443 - He drinks from the Cometfall Sea and is possessed by a demonic aberration that makes him sick.
3E450 - During Curse of the Blood Sea, 12 year old Tsubi is exorcised by the crew of the Phoenix Nebula but ends up losing his father Singularity. He is then taken by Yatra to the Anchorage of Whispers to live with Snort.
3E452 - Yatra takes Tsubi with her into the mercnary life after the death of Snort.
3E483 - At 45 years old, Blazar and Yatra fight for Primerealm in the Shatterworld Tournament during Shards of the Empire. He called off the fight when it seemed that Yatra would die.
