"I am the head of the Aekai family, but you can just call me- Singularity-sama!" He does a stupid pose. "I heard you were looking for me, so I thought I'd come introduce myself."
Aekai Koryoku, also known by his title Singularity, was the patriarch of the Aekai Yakuza Clan during the first half of the 21st century. He covered up his face using a black hole of sorts, and kept the peace between the Yakuza clans while he lived.
After his untimely death in 3E450 while saving his son Tsubi Aekai during Curse of the Blood Sea, there was a power vacuum which led to the rise of Daimaō Damien.
Biography
Yakuza Peacekeeper
When he was 5, the Aekai Compound in Abeyin was attacked by their rivals, the Akumakai Clan. He was the sole survivor of his family, and seemingly lost his mind during these events. He grew up a chaotic child hidden away, and then managed to regain most of his family's lost power and then some.
Rising through the Yakuza ranks, he rebuilt the Aekai to become the strongest Yakuza Clan of Cinohshima. He held considerable sway over the Cinoh Shogunate, and kept the other families in line including the Akumakai. After the death of Daimaō Niseki, he helped Daimaō Damien and Daimaō Kiriba handle proceedings.
However, through all this, his son Aekai Tsubi had been incredibly sick. He had been possessed by a demonic aberration from the Cometfall Sea, and for years had been too sick to leave his room.
After a particularly bad beatdown, his mercenary and spy Yatra Athira lost her memories. He let her escape the Aekai and live her life free, as he thought that she shouldn't have to remember anything that he had her do.
Downfall (Curse of the Blood Sea)
In 3E450, he kidnapped notable researcher Dr. Baizo to help cure his son. While Baizo complied, Shōgun Iwale sent Yatra and the crew of the Phoenix Nebula after him. After they realized what the situation was, they helped him exorcise his son at a nearby temple. The aberration left Tsubi, but in turn possessed Singularity. The possessed Singularity used his gravity magic to make the entire temple rise high into the sky, and the party had to unfortunately kill him to survive the event.
The Aekai Yakuza more or less collapsed after his death, and in the power vacuum Daimaō Damien of the Akumakai took over much of the underworld. His son was taken to safety away from Cinoh, and later became a mercenary adventurer himself named Blazar Singularity, taking on his father's name.
Timeline
3E406 - Koryoku is born on Cinohshima.
3E411 - When he is 5, the Aekai Compound is burnt down by the Akumakai, but he survives.
3E423 - Singularity rises to take over much of the Cinohan underworld and restore the Aekai to their former glory.
3E438 - He has a son named Aekai Tsubi.
3E450 - During the events of Curse of the Blood Sea, he kidnaps Dr. Baizo to help cure his son. While he and the Phoenix Nebula exorcised Tsubi, the aberration possessed Singularity instead. Singularity had to be killed alongside the aberration to truly save his son.
