Giraan (Also known as Giranium, Giran, and Giril) is a rare heavy metal. Often considered to be one of the most valuable elements in the cosmos, in its purest form it has a golden-bronze hue. The metal is considered stronger than steel or titanium, second only to adamantine. However, it is a much better conductor of arcana than adamantine, and is invaluable in enchanting and spellforging. The metal has a high enchantability index, and is often used in magical weaponry and other arcane artifacts. As such, giranium is the most valuable metal in forging magical weapons.
Even though it is not indestructible like adamantine, its still harder than steel and keeps its edge while also having a higher magical potential stored within it. While it is used primarily for its strength and arcanity, it is also electrically conductive to a degree.
When giraan is at maximum capacity for arcane energy, it glows a bright yellow color instead of golden. Few spellsmiths were ever skilled enough to push the metal to this extreme, with the most famous examples of this property being the legendary Stars in the Darkness created by the Omniborn. However, the Stars were a combination of giraan as well as arkaan, instead of being pure giraan weapons.
Generic variant, rare (requires attunement)
This suit of armor is reinforced with a rare metal called Giranium, known for its arcane potential. While wearing this armor, any critical hit against you becomes a normal hit. In addition, when you are subjected to a magical effect that allows you to make a Strength, Dexterity or Constitution saving throw to take only half damage, you instead take no damage if you succeed on the saving throw. You still take the full damage if you fail the saving throw.
