''By the gods when was the last day that you were sober Pissboots''

Unlike the rest of his friends, Marcus isn't a reckless drunkard or an impulsive brawler, he’s the one making sure they survive their own stupidity.
Reserved, But Fiercely Loyal – He doesn’t talk much, but when he does, his words carry weight.
The Group’s Shield – Whether with magic or steel, Beast stands between danger and his friends.
Disciplined Drinker – He enjoys a good drink, but he knows his limit (and Pissboots’ limit, which is “none”).
Wary of Outsiders – He trusts his friends completely, but anyone else needs to prove themselves first.
Struggles with Purpose – Without Ironbrow, Steelhead, and Pissboots, what is he even fighting for?
Marcus grew up in a disciplined household, unlike his chaotic friends. His father, a skilled runesmith, wanted him to become a master enchanter, but Marcus had other plans, he wanted to fight. He saw magic not as a craft but as a weapon to protect others.
While training under the warriors of his clan, Marcus met Ironbrow, who introduced him to the rowdiest bunch of dwarves he’d ever seen: Pissboots and Steelhead. He quickly realized they needed someone to keep them alive, and over time, they became his family.
He never minded being called "Beast", the name started as a joke, but eventually, it became a sign of respect. He fought like an unstoppable force, but unlike Ironbrow, he didn’t crave war, he fought only to keep his people safe.
Marcus was in another city on business when the Magisters came for his friends. He only found out after they were already gone.
For days, he searched for information, growing more restless and angry, until the Magisters came for him, too.
And for the first time in his life, he felt relieved.
If he was being taken to Fort Joy, it meant he wasn’t alone. If Ironbrow, Steelhead, and even that idiot Pissboots were there... he could survive.
