Torbin is a minor noble from the city of Stormglen and brother of townmaster Charlotte. However, Torbin retreated from the noble life because he could not stand the political games within the city walls, preferring a life of woodcutting and simplicity. Torbin spends his time wandering around Morganna and is one of the few people that respects the Therans and Hordelings living in Silverveil Forest. Interestingly, this respect is also returned because some of the Therans and Hordelings have actually met Torbin. They consider Torbin 'one of the good ones'.
But these meetings never ended in violence, as he believes that peaceful coexistence can be achieved. These strange events have him worried, can peace be maintained or will the situation escalate?
Torbin has always felt more at home beneath the whispering canopies of the Silverveiled Forest than within the walls of Morganna. A seasoned traveler of the southern woods, he knows its winding paths, hidden glades, and the creatures that call it home better than most. Though his family—especially Charlotte—wishes for him to settle down, Torbin resists, drawn ever onward by the call of the wild. Through his wanderings, he has met Therans and Hordelings, forging bonds with those who seek only to protect their lands.
He distrusts idle chatter and courtly games, preferring blunt honesty, which some mistake for rudeness. But beneath his gruff demeanor lies a deep-seated belief in change—a faith instilled by his devotion to the Moon Sorceress, Morganna. Recently, trouble has stirred in the Silverveiled Forest. The "Sann'ta Incident" has left tensions high, and Torbin fears retaliation that could spell disaster for Morganna.
Worse still, Hyenakin have begun encroaching on the Therans’ lands, spreading chaos and confusion. Torbin knows they are not the same as the forest’s native protectors, yet the commonfolk fail to see the distinction. And now, an even greater mystery lingers in the air. A foul stench seeps through the woods, unnatural and foreboding. Something is stirring in the depths of the Silverveiled Forest—something Torbin cannot yet name.
