Emathion Marudeva is a researcher who grew up on the Draconova Plains with his Dragonfolk Clan in Borealreach. Emathion was exceedingly talented with "The Breath" and eventually left his clan to travel the world, taking an interest in all the different types of magic, people, and creatures that exist all over Ignisar.
A few months ago, he paid to get a long-term-stay tavern room in Morganna, so he has the time to study all the different cultures, personalities, and religions that the many travelers seem to bring along.
He had set his mind on moving towards Sevenfold soon, but when he and other townsfolk noticed strange events and disappearances, he feels obligated to get to the bottom of this mystery.
Emathion is a Dragonfolk scholar with an insatiable curiosity, drawn to the unfamiliar like a moth to flame. Creatures, cultures, and mysteries fascinate him, and he often observes them from a careful distance—though his tendency to theorize out loud, sometimes before fully thinking things through, has led to more than a few unintended insults.
His impatience and obsessive nature can make him difficult to work with, but his keen mind is undeniable. Standing out in a crowd comes naturally to Emathion, though handling attention does not. Along the Silver Road and in Morganna, Dragonfolk are not uncommon, and some even find his presence striking. Yet he cares little for appearances—what matters to him is knowledge, understanding, and upholding the honor of his people.
Dragonfolk tradition dictates that no problem can simply be ignored; it must be faced, just as an honorable Dragonfolk must seek allies from all walks of life. A dedicated practitioner of magic, Emathion dismisses weaponry as crude and inefficient. Though he carries a dagger for convenience, he relies on his command of Divination to navigate the unknown. His glimpses into the future are often cryptic, even illogical, yet he finds beauty in the mystery. The disappearances around Morganna are not his concern—at least, not personally. But the people have been kind to him, and Emathion believes in doing the right thing. And so, with curiosity as his guide, he steps ever deeper into the unknown, searching for answers only the future can reveal.
