Arvin Quickfoot (born Nighttail) otherwise known as Whiskers was born into a rich family of Leonaport Bay. The Nighttails are catfolk Therans resembling leopards renowned for their trade in exotic spices, alcohol and wine, but in actuality this is a cover for their mastery of blackmail and manipulation. Arvin was forced into the dark world of deceit, learning to gather secrets, craft illusions, and exploit weaknesses. His nimble claws and sharp mind made him a natural, yet he always felt guilt with each secret he uncovered and each life ruined by his family's schemes.

The Nighttail clan's operations were meticulously planned and executed. Arvin was trained to blend his magical abilities with his roguish skills, making him a formidable asset. Despite that proficiency, Arvin’s heart was never in it. He harbored dreams of a different life—one filled with creativity, honesty, and the joy of brewing, a passion he discovered in rare moments of respite.

The guilt was too much to bear. One night, Arvin made his escape. With a heavy heart and lightly-packed, he fled from the Nighttail Mansion in Leonaport Bay, leaving behind the life of blackmail and manipulation. He vowed to use his skills for a better cause, seeking redemption and a chance to make an honest living.

Now a mercenary for hire with the Voidbreakers under the name "Whiskers" he takes on job that test his abilities and allow him to make amends for his past. His methods remain unconventional, but his intentions are pure. He helps those in need, uncovers truths, and fights injustice, all while saving up for his ultimate dream: to open his own tavern.
