“Cover the gear; the wind eats iron.” ~ desert guide

Saltglass Inlet is a near-closed sea north of Rookhaven. The water runs thick and bitter, and white shelves of crystal form along the shore. On clear days the surface shines like glass; on windy days a fine crust lifts and blows inland, dusting the desert. The salt drift stings eyes and pits gear, blowing far enough inland to ride the road between Rookhaven and Whisperholt to the north.
