Episode 15 Synopsis

Twenty-one years earlier, Gram brings an infant Whisper to Father Patches at the Church of Eth. The child was found on the far eastern coast with a key already around his neck, and Father Patches believes he may be special, but Gram chooses to raise him among Madame Iris and the people of the Blooming Petal. Eight years later, young Whisper helps Tavros and other Thieves Guild acolytes rob a clothing merchant, only to collide with the young Captain Silas. Silas threatens to make him scream if they meet again, and the memory shifts through later encounters between the two men before returning to the temple beneath the Shattered Isles.

The pure-glint mechanism holds Whisper in its beam while the darkness pulled from him becomes a hostile shadow duplicate. Helena's Ithelion vial initially draws the creature back, but it also gathers every nearby shadow and makes the copy stronger. The company destroys the suspended crystal, reducing it to dust and returning the darkness to Whisper. The companions then shatter the Tangled One's newer statue and discover an older passage beneath it. A pedestal over black water opens only when they speak the goddess's true name, Angelette Thadon, forming a bridge from interwoven bones. After questioning Normandy under a Zone of Truth about his relationship with Aggie, they cross through a siren song and visions of the girl. Torin and Bjorn fall into the freezing water while trying to save one another, but the company pulls them from the reach of an enormous tentacle below.

Beyond the bridge, the group enters an open caldera ringed by waterfalls and reaches an Ilferan-marked obelisk. A watery aspect of Angelette accepts a cloak made by Aggie and recounts how Zyltrix abandoned the Syphus Order after taking the Ithelion. She warns that the separated light is dying, the Light of Piln must fall, the shadow of the moon must return, and the Ithelion must be made whole before an unimaginable horror crosses from the other side. The pool is a way gate leading instantly to Gavra's obelisk, where Torin recognizes a central pillar of the Veyan Empire and sees that its destination ring can move. Vyr sends Nana toward Lily's Song with a note, but the bat arrives after Angelette begins singing aboard the ship. Four pirates jump overboard, Cecil confronts the girl with stars blazing in her eyes, and an explosion of starlight engulfs the vessel.
