Episode 11 Synopsis

A memory from Normandy's youth shows his father testing him with a financial ledger inside the cold splendor of the Felrick estate. After consuming a pearl of glister, the elder Felrick insists that darkness is sometimes necessary to fight darkness, but warns his son to stare deeply lest he become a monster himself. In the present, the Lion opens a hidden passage from Gavra's undercroft with a medallion and is immediately run through by Silas Palligref. More members of the Stygian Seven close in from the sewers. Torin recognizes Silas, unleashes a burst of power that throws him back and collapses the passage, then falls into an unconscious, phased state.

The companions and surviving Shadowed Dawn acolytes fight their way through the sewer complex. Vyr draws on Umtheras to grant the mortally wounded Lion borrowed life, while Whisper secures the Lion's medallion and the East Wharf details needed to claim their waiting ship. The Stygian Seven execute wounded defenders and corner the Raven. After she throws her returned pocket watch to the Lion, green light from the Dark Scepter tears the armor from its dead host and rebuilds it around her, killing or subsuming the woman beneath it. Elsewhere, a plaque rat bursts through the tunnels and devours Tavros, leaving his Stalker coin behind. Vyr collapses a bridge to slow the attackers, and the escape splits the party when Bjorn follows the unconscious Torin into the aquifer and both are swept into deeper sewers.

Lost below Gavra, Bjorn and Torin meet the Cataract, who accepts two glints and Fire Root tea in exchange for guidance. She gives them a pungent plaque-rat repellent, demands their stories, and spares Torin after he admits that he does not know who he is but remains determined to learn. The others cross the Thieves' Guild under Tabitha's authority because the Hidden Father has granted the Lion passage, despite a Residuum protesting that the Black Queen wants the party dead. Everyone reunites at the Blooming Petal, where Whisper reveals the sacrifice his Gram may have made for his freedom and Vyr explains the cost of borrowed life. Magrit Marigold warns Torin that the Light Bender's Hat marks him, and he stows it. Zandra confirms that a ship is waiting, then opens star-filled eyes and bends perception around the room long enough to declare that the party will be safe for the night, though the act visibly weakens her.
