VGON - The Constitutional and Legislative Organ of the Nation

The end point of many a career; once you have achieved membership here, there is little higher to go.

The lives of billions are at your whim. The fate of humanity beneath your pen.

Despite having less strict authority than ORON and some powers un-delegated, the greater frequencies of meetings leaves VGON with de facto more power. Their ability to interpret, amend, propose, and revise laws that do not conflict with ORON leaves them the ultimate arbiter of what is right and what is wrong within the Nation.

Totalling exactly four-hundred and eighty-six, to join VGON one must already be a member of ORON, and be 'elected' by those same people. Despite the fact most candidates are chosen, rather than technically elected, the low number of seats in contrast to ORON's size means these faux-elections remain extremely competitive, as groups work to impede and support one-another.

Each member of VGON, upon election, becomes one of the most important people in the Nation- ORON is technically superior, but it makes few decisions on its own.

VGON is where the law is molded to their ideals, at the gracious behest of those of ORON and other relevantly 'important' figures in the Nation.

Jockeying for influence with one of the 486 is key for getting your own laws passed, and is why many of the Thought Blocs work incredibly hard to make sure they have membership represented within it. The Absolutists, for example, can pass stricter verbal censorship laws with much more ease than the Wettbewerber can ease capital restrictions simply due to the higher number of representatives they are able to debate and corral in to cooperating with them.

The head of VGON is referred to as the Premier.
