The Convergences

What is a Convergence?

A Convergence is the time during which Twiceborn can use the Shadowgate to travel to Tellus and help the people of the continent fight back the evil forces that threaten to overwhelm it. Convergences most often occur twice a year and last several days. In practical terms, Convergences are the big 4 day events we host for the Realm of Liminalis LARP.

Why is it called a Convergence?

These time periods are referred to as Convergences due to several events happening all at once. During this time, the gods have located enough souls to come together to create a new contingent of Twiceborn. At the same time, Navtix has gathered enough strength to be able to open the Shadowgate in the Realm of Liminalis to travel to the mortal plane, often referred to as Mortalis by the gods. It is also a time of great magic, where the winds of change have shifted in favor of the Twiceborn.

What happens in between Convergences?

When Navtix's power wanes and the gods return to their realms, a Convergence is over. During this downtime, Twiceborn find themselves limited to the Afterworld, but that does not mean their work is done. They can travel to the realms of the gods to help Tellus in other ways, such as gathering resources for the next Convergence, discovering information that may help the Factions in Tellus, and even affect the forces on the continent.
