When the gods left Mortalis at the end of the Age of Myth, the Kingdom of Erden was formed. Leaders from across the lands gathered in Starngard and together elected one amongst them to lead this new Kingdom. The First King, King Sebichos of Khemreset, was chosen for his benevolence and virtuous nature and quickly united the Kingdom under one banner.

The Concilium continued to govern each of the lands and city-states across the Kingdom under the leadership of the Monarch. When a Monarch passed away, a new leader was chosen from the Concilium to serve. As it was for over 1500 years.

That is not to say the Kingdom was always at peace. Many trials and tribulations occurred during the Age of Light, including the Draconic Wars and several periods of civil wars. But the Kingdom always prevailed and often thrived during this time of enlightenment and prosperity.

The Kingdom of Erden fell during the terrible events of the Cataclysm. During the Age of Calamity, this former Kingdom was broken up into what we now refer to as the Enclaves by the Shroudlands.
