Kalkipol is a large coastal city within the Blood Sea. It is the center of the Kakipolskaya Oblast of the Lunar Collective, and one of the industrial hubs of the area. One of the most striking features of the city is a large statue of the triton revolutionary Admiral Maviko Zabanath built on the harbor.

It was originally a small village founded soon after the Cometfall called Kuprum. It became a stronghold of House Koporev, and was soon part of the Kingdom of Kalki-Rtutia with neighboring Rtutiv before being conquered by the Crimson Empire. It was one of the hotbeds of revolution despite its small size during the The Great Aurian War.

Kalkipol experienced a surge of growth in the third era under the Lunar Collective, the population growing exponentially as the Lunars incentivized many of its citizens to move to the new city, and forcibly relocated others. It outpaced the nearby Rtutiv in its growth, becoming far larger than the historically bigger city.

Built just across the border from the Crimson city of Coalfell, the road from Kalkipol is one of the few contested land gateways between the two big nations. It has a significant mining industry much like Coalfell, its mirror on the other side. However, unlike Coalfell, Kalkipol has a much more defensible position in case of war, with larger battlements and a protected coastline.

Kuprum Docks. The center of government and the stronghold of House Koporev, it is a large facility on the coast that doubles as a seaport and an airport for airships and zeppelins. The old fortress was demolished to make way for the airport, and House Koporev instead lives lavishly in the modern building built in the wake of their old fort.
