3E490/08/05 - Deep in Voidspace, crimelord Sezza Starburn controls much of the space around Draxaria, ruling through Zaerock within the Rings of Zaeria. Faith Blackreyne and Buster work for her, and two more freelancers are hired, Sylvia and Zephyr. Sezza gives Faith a new ship, that she names the Eon Raven. Their task is to go deep into illithidspace around Alphyth. As they leave, they run into an asteroid field full of destroyed ships, and are attacked by space sharks controlled by Vampires. After defeating the vampirates, they finally make it to Alphyth. Sezza contacts them and has Buster reveal that their true task is to recover “Prisoner Zero” from the Civitas Caelorum, the mind flayer prison citadel. To learn its orbital position, they land on the moon of Alphyth, Moros, near an abandoned duergar mining outpost called Moros Base 3. They discover that it was destroyed by something some centuries ago, and go deeper into the subterranean ocean base. There, they discover the flight logs, but are attacked by a Protean Abomination consisting of all the dead dwarves. After defeating it, they rest at the base and repair the Eon Raven.
3E490/08/06 - The next day, they make it to the Civitas Caelorum. They infiltrate the lower levels, sneaking by sensors and mind flayers. They end up fighting a lot of mind flayers and grell, and finally make it to Prisoner Zero’s cell, who looks like an ancient construct. They fight the illithid known as the Warden, and make it back to the Eon Raven with Prisoner Zero. As they escape, they are chased by a nautiloid. Prisoner Zero takes control of the ship somehow, flying into the upper atmosphere of Alphyth. As he does so, the party defends them from Byakhee. Zero flies the ship out of Alphyth once they’ve lost the illithid, jumping to hyperspeed. He reveals that his heart is made up of what he calls Dimensium, a near-infinite battery. He was a weapon developed in the Omniborn Crisis, and locked away by the Elves. He tells them to go to sleep.
3E490/08/07 - The next day, they reach Dobuna’s orbit. There, Zero takes them to an old ruin floating in its orbit, where he recharges himself to 20%. Not wanting to go to Sezza, he fights them, but they end up taking him down. They promise him that they won’t hand over Zero to Sezza, and Zero in exchange shouldn’t fully recharge and wreak havoc on mortals. They head back to Zaerock, where they are confronted by Sezza. She is saddened by Faith’s betrayal, and lights up a red sunblade. She and her honor guards enter combat, one of the guards even killing Zephyr’s shadow-dog. Faith ends up taking Sezza down, creating a vacuum of power. They think about taking over her operations, as Zero bids them farewell, flying off into space.
