Our third campaign set on Abmarah, Tale of the Sunless Dunes followed the party called the Chimera through the deserts and nations of Eqos. The campaign ran for 10 months, between June 2022 and April 2023. Much of the campaign was turned into the Sunless Dunes book.
The party worked with the Kasaaqi Dynasty, against criminal organisations such as the Nemesis and foreign powers such as the Calamity Covenant. They faced off against the Solism, ultimately ending up accidentally aiding the resurrection of Sol Sultana.
The party traveled the Kav'orra Desert, the Vyzum Wastes, the Edeni Expanse, as well as ending in the Goldheim Rainforest. They spent a considerable amount of time in the other planes such as the Feywild and Azydos.
The campaign came to a premature end in April 2023 after its fourth chapter, owing to real life disagreements. However, there is an agreed upon epilogue for most of the characters as well as the story. The campaign did result in Sol ascending to true divinity, becoming a void goddess of truth. Viera Blackreyne also became the new Archhuntress of the Blackreyne Brotherhood in the end.

The Chimera had six characters, as well as a guest character named Viridiano that Devaanshu played between Lucine's death and resurrection. Alongside the PCs, they had a DMPC companion named Rakash Zaaba IV for the duration Ruhani was absent from the campaign.
Viera Blackreyne - F Monster Hunter Tiefling Grave Cleric (Daibik)
Zahn Zwei - M Bounty Hunter Human Armorer Artificer / Fighter (Vijay)

In addition, they had some extra characters with them for various durations:
Rakash Zaaba IV - A male DMPC Noble Human Berserker Barbarian who was a member of the party for the duration Milis was away.
Viridiano - M Artist Changeling Archfey Warlock, a guest character played by Devaanshu while Lucine was dead.
Celeste - A female Moonstone Dragon wyrmling that the party rescued, protected, and eventually escorted to her home in the Feywild.
“These sands are ancient. Ancient beyond belief. They've been here since the sun was rejected, and love turned to dust." - The beginning of Sol's opening narration.
Vasirr reached Ammba on a mission to investigate strange natural magic happening within the Kav'orra desert, and he took up a temporary residence in the shop of Milis called the Stitched Scales. After awakening to their powers, Caeles and Lucine escaped the Solism and reached Ammba as well. Viera and Zahn were bounty hunters directed to Ammba from Kasaaq in search of their target, a mysterious 'Vin'.
One morning in Ammba, Vasirr and Milis encounter two lions wreaking havoc in the market. Their efforts to pacify the situation are interrupted by a mysterious tigros panshera and a halfling involved in animal smuggling. Meanwhile, Caeles and Lucine intervene in a street altercation but are caught up in a tense interaction with Inspector Raktii Tribashi, eventually uncovering a theft linked to rare dragon bones. As Viera and Zahn reach the outskirts of Ammba, chaotic events involving a disguised druid and a flood of goats. Everyone's paths align in their investigation of an animal trafficker's hideout in the Fairy Caves. After a tense battle against a chimera, they uncover coded records and evidence linking the smuggling operation to a larger organization called Nemesis. Inspector Raktii tells the six to stick together in the Stitched Scales, unofficially making them a party. They learn more about each other, including Caeles' murderous history and radicalization.
The party tackles new challenges, such as a bard cursed by a ghostly lover. They help Dahn Fakiro deal with the ghost of his ex-lover. Vasirr and V reflect on their relationships with their mothers, and Lucine struggles to address Caeles' erratic behavior. Despite internal conflicts, the group presses forward. V visits an abandoned temple to commune with her goddess, Thetus, amidst a mossy graveyard. Concurrently, Caeles takes his Oath of Conquest, solidifying his resolve. The group prepares for an eventful day, including a visit to a museum. Their exploration uncovers mysteries surrounding a missing model, Morii, whose last sighting ties her fate to the sculptor Ekash. Tension builds as the party delves into Ekash's secrets, culminating in a battle with Ekash the Medusa and his basilisk. Ekash surrenders, revealing his actions were driven by vengeance for his slain wife. Morii is rescued and restored, though shaken. They also meet the gangster Namkeen Bhai, a bugbear who operates from the Fairy Caves.
They end up investigating the animal traffickers against Raktii's will, and are thrust into clashes with Volnik Feydey's gang. The gang’s violence escalates, culminating in Milis being abducted. Aided by Raktii, the party mounts a daring rescue. Despite the chaos and loss, including the capture of Nisii, they persist in their quest for justice. They plan their final assault on Volnik, who is revealed to be a worshiper of Nosos and the Herald of Corruption. The battle is intense, with Volnik's Spirit Guardians inflicting severe damage, nearly killing several party members. After his defeat, Volnik acknowledges the party’s strength before being captured. In the warehouse, the group discovers a wyrmling Moonstone Dragon that they name Celeste. They vow to eventually get her home. The party is summoned to meet the Ranaji, and are named heroes of Ammba. They are given the name Chimera, since that was the first monster they killed together and to showcase their diversity. Exhausted by courtly formalities, the group resolves to rest and prepare for their next journey to Kasaaq for the Artisan’s Festival. Throughout the week, they tie up personal and party-related loose ends, including Vasirr's favors owed to Namkeen Bhai and a favor involving Fire Giant ruins by the smith Jaro.
Lucine plans a mountaintop date with V, where V reveals her real name, Viera, and they discuss their roles in the group. However, V’s hangover-induced mention of someone from her past strains their relationship, leading to a heartfelt reconciliation that inspires Viera to open up to the entire party. On the eve of their departure, Viera dreams of her companions’ deaths and her unresolved connection with Theratis, receiving a divine blessing to reverse death.
Departing for Kasaaq, the party leaves with Celeste and a wagon, setting up camp amidst the desert. Along the way, they encounter Jua Zoha, a priestess of Sol, delivering a sermon, learning about her belief in Sol as the reincarnation of the ancient goddess Sorya. They then face a sandstorm and a band of orc raiders, the Sand Chasers. Further challenges arise, including an earthquake that opens a crevice, leading the party to rescue a stranded Tlincalli child. Reaching Wa’sadak, the party find themselves amidst a political rivalry between two princes, Simbon Kawar and Kirina Mathii, who seek to prove their worth for royal favor. A sudden attack by conjured Twilight Dune Scorpions reveals foul-play, and the party uncovers magical runes tied to the attack. They are hired to rescue trapped miners from a collapsed mine, uncovering more evidence of magical meddling, including the presence of dangerous, supposedly exterminated creatures, the Aurumvoraxes. In the mines, the party uncovers Kirina’s attempts to sabotage Simbon, using the chaos to enhance his own reputation. After exterminating the Aurumvoraxes, they rescue the trapped miners and expose Kirina’s deceit. They align themselves with Simbon, pledging support for him.
They are then drawn to the nearby uncovered ruins of Agunskil to complete Jaro's request. Caeles, feeling drawn by Sol’s voice, leads the group inside where they face traps and mummies. They discover treasure, including a sunblade blessed by Sol, but they end up fighting a fire giant named Monnos in an intense fight. As they journey towards the capital, they spot a mysterious carriage driven by a man in a red cloak overnight. Vasirr has a prophetic dream of a city attacked by the Dark Hunt. Upon reaching the city of Renara, they go to Viera’s apartment above Zoshi-ka-Dhaba.
Heading to the underground Nanun's Pub, they meet with the crime lord Nanun who tells them of noble Babrich Aylarov's connection to the Nemesis. They are later ambushed by Nemesis Assassins. The party prepares for a grand ball being held to celebrate the Artisan's Fair. During their preparations, Milis unexpectedly reunites with her husband, Scirios. They meet nobles such as Sirina Mathii and her companion Kanat Aylarov. At the ball, they meet notable figures, including the Vokiros, who are tied to the Church of Sol, as well as the Lunar Delegation. Viera has a reunion with her old friend Can Vanadiyin, and she learns about the current state of the Blackreyne Brotherhood. Meanwhile, the party mingles with guests and gathers information, some of which proves critical to their mission. They try to poison and interrogate Babrich, but chaos erupts when Babrich summons an angel of knowledge, who announces the creation of the Calamity Covenant and declares war against the Kasaaqi Dynasty as celestials attack the ballroom. The party, joined by other notable figures like Preos Vokiro and Can, defeats the angel and restores order. Babrich is captured and interrogated, where he reveals his alliance with Nemesis and the Covenant, driven by his belief in anarchy over order. The party then executes him.
The party accompanies Simbon to a noble council meeting, but they aren't let in. Following the meeting, the party learns from Tarajkumar Zavii about the Covenant and their leader Zaran Zehir, the Binder of Angels. War seems inevitable. Acknowledging the party’s role in defeating the angel, the prince requests their help in a covert mission to the south, framed as a "peaceful" attempt to avert war by negotiating secretly. The party agrees, though Milis decides to part ways to search for her daughter Siceois in Jamre alongside her husband. Nanun tells them of a southern contact, Fast Fingers West, and reveals that the group will accompany the enigmatic Rakaash Zaaba IV. The Artisan's Fair provides a brief respite from the gathering storm. The party enjoys the festivities, helps at Milis’ successful stall, and bonds over dancing and celebration. Amid the revelry, Viera shares a heartfelt moment with Lucine, proposing with a symbolic hair ornament in a reflection of her mother’s love story. However, the joy is short-lived as a Kasaaqi Soldiers announce the declaration of war following an attempted attack on the royal family by the Calamity Covenant.
The party says farewell to Milis for now. The parting is bittersweet, with Milis leaving a sending stone to Zahn and entrusting Celeste to the party. The group boards the airship Turantahkrin, and meets Rakaash Zaaba IV. He has them spar with him to test their strength, accepting them as his teammates. While flying west towards Dibayad, Viera and Zahn discuss his past and her burgeoning relationship with Lucine, while Lucine probes Caeles about his divine visions. Tensions rise as Viera spots a Hunting Horror. Though the party ultimately forces its retreat, Viera's use of dark magic manifests visible signs of corruption. Using vismancy, her soul might erode, transforming her into a monstrous Acribus. The party resolves to seek help in Alphanim eventually, known for its expertise in soul magic. Lucine expresses her animosity toward the Solism, prompting a group decision to investigate the the church. Meanwhile, Rakash reveals his disdain for his father's ruthless policies and bonds further with the group.
The party arrives in Dibayad, a partially ruined city recovering from past conflicts. They take refuge outside the grand Graos Qila, where soldiers are camping. Lucine and Caeles visit the Church of the Black Sun and meet Surya Varkaa, who recognizes them as the heroes of Ammba. Varkaa offers Lucine a test to connect with the deities, which leads to an intense spiritual experience where Lucine makes contact with a mysterious presence, Lunaa. This leaves Lucine conflicted, and she storms off. Meanwhile, Caeles sexually assaults Varkaa, who forces him to leave. The party is then summoned to a meeting with Rakash, who informs them of their route. They are tasked with heading toward Newhope after passing through Traintown. They travel by train, where Lucine confides in Viera about Lunaa. The group also discusses their plans for the journey through the Vyzum Wastes. They also meet Viranii, an artificer who seems to have hidden motives. Zahn tries to talk to her but she doesn't reveal much about herself other than a hate of Lunars. When outlaws suddenly hijack the train, Viranii's betrayal is revealed, and a chaotic battle ensues. The party fights against the outlaws, and Lucine shoots a fireball that ignites the coal compartment leading to a huge explosion that destroys the train's locomotive. Viranii is ultimately killed by Viera, but is then revived upon Zahn's insistence. They capture some of the other bandits that survived the fight.
After the battle, Rakash yells at Lucine over the destruction caused by her. The next morning, Major General Seona Balori takes charge, managing the aftermath while the party interrogates captured 'Deathscourge Gang' members. The party learns that the group they captured was primarily interested in stealing technology rather than pursuing any political agenda. They ultimately allow two members, Lachon and Viranii, to teleport to Newhope after negotiating a deal where they will help them out there and Rena staying behind with the party. Caeles later expresses his desire to be equal to Sol, which she utterly rejects. The next day, the party arrives in Traintown, a makeshift town full of soldiers. Rakash, assuming the alias 'Ali', outlines their cover story as merchants. Further into the Vyzum, they encounter a squad of soldiers including Driders who attempt to prevent their passage. Lucine, using her diplomatic skills, manages to convince the squad to let them through without a fight. That night, Celeste grows increasingly uneasy, and the group is ambushed by a dangerous blue dragon name Qoraankul. Vasirr, driven by his concern for Celeste, delivers the final blow to the dragon. He considers the dragon to be his test of courage and his true defining kill.
Vasirr offers the dragon’s heart to Lucine as a potential offering for Lunaa, but there's an argument as Caeles wants it as well. The party then encounters Dieterich Drei, a powerful construct from Skion Labs, and Moghroth, a legendary bounty hunter. The battle with them reveals Dieterich's near-invulnerability, and despite their efforts, the party struggles to deal any meaningful damage. Eventually, they manage to bring down a stone arch that crushes Dieterich letting them escape for now. They assume Dieterich relates to Zahn’s mysterious past. After a night of rest, Vasirr gives the dragon's heart to Caeles, who sacrifices it to Sol in a bid for greater power. Sol, however, demands that Caeles take his own life as proof of his devotion. Caeles complies, ending his own life. He is later revived by Viera, emerging as a Protector Aasimar with red-black wings, a form that the group finds troubling. They reach Newhope, a city filled with junk and mechanical technology. During their stay at an inn, an unexpected attack by Dieterich and Moghroth forces the group into another battle. Collapsing a street's walls into Dieterich, they barely manage to escape again.
The group regroups in a church to Vertum that doubles as a forge, where they receive new equipment from Father Druqitrozk, a saurian priest. They meet the Dreadscorge gang again and are introduced to Cogo, a Modron, who leads them to the Gearyard. There, the party faces rogue constructs and a Titan automaton in a dangerous battle. They set a trap for Dieterich and Moghroth there, hoping to defeat them once and for all. As the fight ensues, Moghroth and Dieterich manage to come out on top anyway, with Moghroth teleporting away and Dieterich revealing his relation to Zahn. In the chaos, Vasirr and Dieterich fall into a deep pit. Viera rescues Vasirr, and the group debates how to finally stop their enemies. Viranii suggests researching Moghroth’s immortality at the Department of Dungeons. The party plans to use a molten junkpit to destroy Dieterich's armor. Rakash, returning from his own mission, expresses concerns about a potential false plan and his desire to rescue his daughter from Jamre, but the group agrees to continue their mission and deal with the threats in Newhope first. Meanwhile, Milis departs Jamre, leaving for Erumaltu to meet back up with the party.
Vasirr experiences a strange dream where he leaps through trees in a misty forest, seemingly in the Shadowfell. From the perspective of Aklim, his goddess, he witnesses the corpse of an Acribus resembling Viera, being consumed. The shadowy stag representing Gammus, leader of the Dark Hunt, speaks in Sylvan and is shot by Aklim mid-monologue. Father D, who has had similar visions, interprets them as signs of major upcoming events. The group splits to prepare for the next battle, with some heading to the library to research Moghroth’s condition and the dream. They uncover information about 'VOID', a state between life and death, connected to experiments on undeath. Meanwhile, Lucine and Caeles negotiate with The Pluggers Gang led by Fast Fingers West to use their forge in exchange for a fee. Eventually, their plan to trap Dieterich and melt his armor works, but his adamantine skeletal remnants rise from the lava and fight on, leading to a final battle in which they finally kill him. Viera is further affected by soul corruption. They then board a train overnight towarads Erumaltu.
Traveling on a train with refugees from Kaitzur, Viera has a dream involving her mother and the morally ambiguous Brighthunt sect of the Blackreyne Brotherhood. The party is attacked by Covenant soldiers, leading to a fight that results in a desperate escape from the train. After reuniting in the desert, they continue walking toward Erumaltu, making camp along the way. Viera has another dream about the man who turned to smoke due to Brighthunt experimentation, realizing that its Moghroth's origin. Moghroth finally catches up to them in the desert. Surrounded by undead, Moghroth reveals he can track the party easily. Despite their efforts to fight back, the undead are overwhelming. However, Viera manages to Turn Undead, weakening the enemy forces. Moghroth, angered, calls Viera the worst Blackreyne hunter he’s seen, and when she addresses him by his true name Roston Räuchermann, he seems caught off guard before disappearing. Exhausted, the party pushes forward, but Caeles expresses frustration over the endless battles. The party hasn't been getting good sleep for many days now.
After a long night of travel, the party reaches Nevermore, a grim town plagued by a nightmare epidemic. They reunite with Milis there. They learn that the curse is tied to a mother who killed her own tiefling child, which has caused a plague of nightmares to haunt the town. Janore, a cleric of Sigmus, explains that the only way to end the curse is to enter the Dreamplane and confront the nightmare's source. While some members are hesitant, they enter the Dreamplane and face the monstrous manifestations of the mother and child. After defeating the nightmare curse, they are ready to use the plane shifting crystal to return. However, when they try to return, Celeste inadvertently activates the crystal. Instead, the party is transported to the Feywild, Celeste’s homeland. They experience strange phenomena, such as shifting mountains and strange flora. Vasirr feels a strong connection to his goddess Aklim in this realm.
Celeste seems to enjoy the environment while Caeles wrestles with his fears about Sol's potential demands. During their journey, they encounter a HugSlug, which Milis picks up, only to learn that it gives a burst of vitality but poisons the host once detached. The party travels on and finds a lake where Lucine retrieves a mysterious crystal. However, Viera paralyzes her before she can blindly attune to it and identifies it as a Shadowfell Crystal focus. They then encounter goblins who have acquired swords and now want to kill gods. They ask whether the party wants to join them in killing gods, and the party simply refuses. As they continue, Viera saves Celeste from a Venus flytrap, and the group is led by Celeste to the Shadow-Wild, where they confront an adult Moonstone Dragon being corrupted by a Dark Huntsman. After a fierce battle, Zahn delivers a decisive shot to defeat the Huntsman, breaking his control over the dragon, which then flies away with Celeste. The party flees as more Dark Huntsmen approach, only to be saved by Daraza, a Panshera Blackreyne Hunter.
Daraza takes the party to a town called Thither, ruled by a story-telling spider named Yarnspinner, who offers them stories in exchange for a tale of their own. There, they also met Celeste again along with her older sister Briiinov who gives them draconic blessings for delivering Celeste to her. Daraza promises to lead them to another portal back to the Material Plane. Meanwhile, Viera and Lucine share a private moment, where Viera expresses concern about Lucine's reckless behavior and their future together. They reach the Shadow-Wild, where Vasirr finds Aklim, wounded from a fight with Gammus. Caeles has a sudden vision in which Sol demands that he kill her, and he unknowingly stabs Lucine in the heart as he does so. Time seems to almost freeze as Lucine transforms into Sol, absorbing Aklim's divinity. In the chaos that follows, Viera, now consumed by rage and blaming Caeles for Lucine's death, goes berserk. The party struggles to calm her down, and Aklim intervenes, offering a chance to bring Lucine back. Eventually, Viera is knocked unconscious and Caeles lashes out at Sol's betrayal, the group deciding to flee the forest back to Thither. Viera reluctantly spares Caeles out of respect for Lucine. Aklim reveals that her master, Deltus, is at Summermeet and can provide aid, while also offering Viera the opportunity to learn Vismancy from Theratis herself. Despite her bitterness towards the party, Viera is determined to save Lucine and swears to continue on her journey, seeking a sign from Theratis. After receiving guidance from Theratis, Viera vows to trust in Aklim for now and promises to save Lucine.
They then meet Viridiano, a changeling artist who wishes to follow them and document their journey through his paintings. Despite initial concerns, the party accepts him, and he even gifts Viera a painting reflecting her grief. Aklim, now ready to fight as a mortal, leads the group through a portal to the Eladrin city of Summermeet. There, they are introduced to the god Deltus, who suggests they use a portal to teleport to the first layer of Hell, Acheren, to then get to Azydos. As they journey through the hell, they fight devils and encounter the souls of soldiers being tortured, as Viridiano continues his art. The party faces disturbing dreams, but also some moments of healing, such as Viera’s attempt at painting with Viridiano's guidance. Milis finds a shadow dragon whose power is being drained by a corrupted angel. Milis manages to strike down the angel and is able to put the dragon's spirit to rest, receiving a blessing in return. The party is then teleported by Theratis to the afterlife city of Azydos, where they seek her guidance on how to bring Lucine back. Theratis tests the party members and especially Viera, offering them insights into their pasts and their futures. She agrees to help them, suggesting a way to save Lucine by using Viera's new Vismancy abilities to extract Lucine’s soul from the dreamplane, with the aid of Caeles' connection to Sol. Meanwhile, the other half of the party convinces Quanus, a god of creation, to craft a new body for Lucine.
Viera invades Caeles' dreamplane with Sol and frees Lucine, as Sol seems to no longer care. The party is finally reunited with Lucine as she is resurrected in a new body. Lucine meanwhile had been having a vision as she learns of her connection to Lunaa as her avatar. Lunaa reveals that her soul was once divided between her and Sol, and now, with Lunaa and Lucine's freedom, Lucine receives further divine powers, including the ability to fly. Viridiano leaves behind a painting capturing their tearful reunion. Theratis, satisfied with their progress, reminds them that their duty is not over and that they must now focus on bringing Moghroth to justice. The party plane shifts back to the Material Plane, ending up in the town of Forevermore. Many months seem to have passed in Abmarah due to the Feywild's time dilation, and during this period Moghroth had arrested Rakash and taken him to a Lunar prison in Angelroost.
The town they arrive at seems unaffected by the ongoing war. A passerby tells them about Moghroth, a skeleton man who is likely causing trouble in town. The party heads to a tavern and confronts Moghroth. Viera now armed with soul trapping spells, they have a final showdown outside the tavern as it strikes high noon. Zahn and Viera shoot Moghroth together, and Viera, using her powers granted by Theratis, captures and crushes Moghroth's soul, ending him for good. With Moghroth gone, the party celebrates before turning their focus to rescuing Rakash from the Lunar prison. The next day, the party receives a visit from Ammir, a gold dragonborn priestess of Aethys. She offers to assist the party by providing transport to Angelroost, where Rakash is being held. However, before they can leave Forevermore, they encounter a group of cultists led by Surya Naur Glawar, a father figure to Lucine and Caeles. The party is ambushed, and a fight ensues in which they are overwhelmed by Glawar's power, who reveals himself as an ancient red dragon. In the ensuing chaos, the town is set ablaze, and the party is forced to flee to safety on a boat provided by the tavern keeper.
As the party rests on the boat, Caeles falls into a deep slumber and experiences visions of his past under the training of Glawar. He encounters the archdevil titan Krros, who offers him a pact to kill Sol in exchange for immense power. Caeles accepts, breaking free from Sol’s influence and forming a new pact with Krros as he pulls out a chainsaw blade from his own body. While the others are concerned, they agree that it may be better than his prior situation as Krros has more reason to hate Sol than anyone else. Viera and Lucine have a deep conversation about their guilt, regrets, and the reasons they continue fighting. They bond over the shared understanding that death is a real possibility, but it is their only choice. Arriving at Starkford, the party takes a moment to rest and replenish. They visit a general goods store where Viera buys silver rings for a spell she plans to cast. Her purchase prompts a misunderstanding with Lucine, who wonders if it's a proposal.
The party travels through the Edeni Expanse and arrives in the city of Angelroost, the westernpoint point of the Lunar Kazarin Protectorate. After an awkward encounter with Lunar guards, Lucine uses a disguise to attempt entering the temple-prison compound, while Vasirr, disguised as a rat, sneaks in undetected. Meanwhile, Zahn reunites with Dr. Stali, the scientist who had previously worked on his biomechanical implants. They also meet the automaton Nacht Null. Stali reveals that Zahn, along with others like Nacht and Dieterich, is part of a secret Lunar Skion Labs project that turned him into a supersoldier known as a "Vortex." Stali's insights into Zahn’s past reveal that he was critically injured during a mission and he had his memory wiped to save him from the Lunar Collective’s control. He shows the party a powerful ancient arcane reactor beneath the fortress, a source of immense energy. Stali seeks Zahn's help to turn the reactor into a battery while unlocking Zahn's hidden modules. However, the party soon realizes that this reactor, potentially a weapon of mass destruction, is being used recklessly by the Lunars. In a stealthy operation, the party manages to free Rakash and avoid detection. They are finally reunited and share their respective journeys. The party also learns more about the political intrigue involving the Lunars, with Rakash's capture being tied to his family and the larger war effort. They plan their escape, using Lucine's clairvoyance to stay informed about the situation, and leave the city under the cover of night, evading Lunar forces.
While camping, the party sees a meteor shower and hears backstories from Viera and Rakash. Rakash reveals his goal to rescue his daughter from Jamre. They meet a traveling merchant who sells them magical items, including the Deck of Many Things. They reach the Temple City of Oxrock, where they are updated on the political situation, including Jamre's lockdown. A death shaman initially refuses to let Lucine into a temple due to her overwhelming life force, but they eventually receive the information they need about Viera's condition. Upon entering the city covertly, they reunite with Scirios and begin strategizing how to infiltrate the inner wall of Jamre, where Rakash's daughter as well as Sciocis are located. They receive a substantial reward of 9,000 platinum coins from Rakash’s ally, Tarot, a kasaaqi spy within Jamre. The party navigates Jamre’s sewers to avoid suspicion, and then split into different groups within the palace. Milis is reunited with her daughter, and Lucine confronts Chikuu about the lockdown. While leaving, the party encounters Captain Piotr from the Covenant, who they have to kill. Afterward, they return to the clinic to rest, only to witness angels appearing in the sky, searching for someone.
Milis and Vasirr steal a teleportation scroll from a restricted library, and Viera and Zahn meet with Tarot at a club, where he reveals that Nemesis' assassins are after them. Tarot also marks them with the Zaaba sigil and discloses that the Covenant general they were sent to assassinate was Vin all along. Meanwhile, Lucine and Caeles have a tense conversation with the leader of Jamre, Adeaa Vanem, who casts Zone of Truth and learns the truth about the party. She betrays the angels and lets the party escape alongside Chikuu and Siceois. The party reconvenes as Rakash reunites with Chikuu. They then use a stolen scroll to teleport to Wesamala, leaving Scirios behind, with their next move toward Alphanim.
With the campaign ending suddenly and prematurely, a lot of plot points were left up in the air. However, eventually all the players decided on what the canonical epilogue for the characters were.
They then traveled through Alphanim, meeting Kenzo and dealing with a vampire threat while also curing Viera of her acribus disease. Following that, the party ended up traveling back to Kasaaq and eventually teleporting to Lunaria. Alongside Can and Kenzo, the party managed to retake Night's End and liberate the Blackreyne Brotherhood from Zmeya's control. Viera became the new Archhuntress of the brotherhood. Zahn then freed himself from Vortex control for good. The party then tried to stop Sol from doing whatever she was planning at Kazarin Peak. While Sol ascended to true divinity and became a void goddess of Truth, the party ended up fighting Surya Glawar as the BBEG. Finally taking him down, the party went their own ways.
Vasirr became the leader of the Great Hunt, dedicated to protecting Abmarah from other planes. Viera moved back to Night's End to lead the Blackreyne Brotherhood and settled down with Lucine, even having a daughter with her through magical means. Caeles abandoned nearly everything, going on a journey to roam around clearing up all the messes that Sol and the Church had created, vowing to meet Sol in hell one day. Milis settled back down in Ammba with her husband, living the rest of her life in peace after this adventure.
