After Mutrev left his original position as the chaotic creator god, Quanus was appointed to the role as the architect of the gods. He was a mortal champion of the creator gods who was ascended by Elder Mekalus. The first and only bugfolk god, he spends most of his time in Voidspace building up other worlds instead of Abmarah. He also works out of the “Halls of Creation”, his own demiplane linked to Azydos. He is secretive, and works methodically and efficiently. Watching him build things evokes the feeling of watching someone conduct an orchestra, as his creations take form around him. His architecture evokes hives and nests.

A god of few words, he is considered to be rather cold. While he originally had wings, he lost them in the Omniborn Crisis. Instead of healing himself with his creation magic, he wears the scars with pride and hovers with magic instead. He abides by the rules set down by Jakuna, and only creates things if they would serve some sort of greater purpose—arguably being more orderly than Vertum’s whims. He has many followers across the cosmos, and is regarded as the patron deity of all the bugfolk and Faiiali. Architects, artists, and designers alike pray to him and thank Quanus for their creative spark.

He has many followers across the cosmos, and is regarded as the patron diety of all the bugfolk. The Faiiali worship him as the chief architect.

In Ashtadharma, Qaniidev is also considered to be the god of engineering, replacing the role of Eurion as the gnomish goddess isn’t worshiped as much in Eqos. This has led to a new ritual involving the artificers of the eqosi deserts leaving him crude offerings made of raw iron.
