Faiiali or Faiingaali are one of the ancient species designed specifically for Abmarah. The faiiali are reptilian yet insect-like humanoids with six lanky arms. Created by the ancient creator gods to be creators themselves, the faiiali were the architects of ancient civilizations and spoke the Fchaniz language. Master craftsmen, they could build up entire cities within months if not weeks. Much like the other ancient species, they have multiple arms and eyes, resulting in an insect-like body shape despite their reptilian nature. The faiiali were made visually in the form of the elder god of order, Mekalus. They have multiple eyes that appear as dark pupil-less voids, and a generally thin body structure. They have six horns on their heads that can take various shapes. Their skin color ranges from deep reds to browns or even blacks, although some have had extremely pale red or pink skin that almost looks white often ending up with gradients with colors getting darker near their horns and extremities.
They were the least numerous species of their era, their eggs taking multiple years hatch new young. Though they were respected in the first era for their skills, they were looked down upon by the other divine races for their perceived alien-like nature and lack of imperialist will. The elves often referred to them as “Bugborn”, an insulting term referring to their insect-like body as well as their cultural similarity to omniborn. Meanwhile, the omniborn treated them as outsiders despite their cultural and linguistic similarities. At their height on Abmarah, the faiiali were spread wide across southern Eqos, northern Eteru, and southern Aurial amidst omniborn lands.
The faiiali are very group-oriented and have intricate family structures. They are generally matriarchal, and the few settlements they have of their own are led by faiiali women. They do not have a hivemind unlike popular belief, but do seem to work together exceptionally well. Due to their origins, they are some of the most xenophilic species and seemingly love to help others out in any way they can despite any stigmatization they face themselves. They all but disappeared from Abmarah after the Cometfall much like some of the other ancient species, leaving the material plane to settle in Voidspace and beyond. They have settled on planets and moons all across the cosmos, but their population still remains small and they are uncommon even amidst the stars. While no settlements of faiiali remain on Abmarah, there exists an extremely small population of individuals who have remained on the planet. The rare faiiali traveler can be seen blending into crowds from time to time, and it isn’t known whether they are visitors from the stars or simply left behind on our world. These days, they tend to follow the architect of the gods, Quanus, as their patron deity.
