The Angels are an ancient species of celestials created by gods. Unlike others, Angels are always born in pairs- A Red Angel representing chaos, and a Blue Angel representing order. Three angels have even ascended to become true gods themselves, being Vertum Auriel and Mutrev Auriel. The third is the archdevil, Krros Zazael.
The first angels were all created by Elder Mekalus, and thus consider the titans Jakuna, Sigmus, Deltus, Serenox, and Moros their siblings. They were created to aid the gods with all their divine duties. One cannot shapeshift into an angel, not even shapeshifting gods like Magmus. They are said to be linked to the holy light of Mekalus still, and only he has the power to create their forms.
The common depiction of an 'angel' tends to be a blue angel with white feathery wings, as they end up interacting more with mortals as a part of their duties. Red angels are often mistaken for their devil brethren, but lack many of their fiendish attributes. Angels also tend to shapeshift when interacting with mortals, often appearing to them as human-like with white or black wings.
The first angels, brothers Krros Zazael and Azriel Zazael, sought to teach mortals arcane magic separate from divine magic. Most of the gods opposed this, but none more than Dimensus, who wanted nothing more than pure divine power over mortals for the rest of time. This kickstarted the Angel Rebellion against the gods. The god Gunian offered the brothers a way out- a new spell that would free them from their celestial shackles, turning them into something new. Azriel denied the offer at first, but was struck down by Dimensus and erased from the world. The remaining brother, Krros, took Gunian's offer and cast the spell upon himself, rising as the first Archdevil Titan. He burnt the roots of the world tree, destroying the order of the cosmos. He pierced Dimensus' heart with the roots, and killed the titan and kickstarting the Realmshatter. Many of his angel followers cast the spell as well, becoming the first Fiends, devils and archdevils alike. However, Gunian also corrupted many of these unfortunate angels into being transformed into the Keepers, his personal servants.

There are many angels that are known throughout the cosmos for their deeds and bravery. Some of them are even deified and worshiped, and others are looked down upon for their failures. Some of the famous angel siblings include:
