Magmus is the god of destruction and disasters, representing storms, volcanoes, earthquakes, and other destructive events. While there are other gods of destruction, Magmus is the first one most mortals think of when a calamity strikes. He dislikes being worshiped by his followers, but helps them out regardless with his boons. A shapeshifter, he changes his species and appearance on a whim, always in a new form. However, no matter what species he becomes, he is always one-eyed. Due to his nature, most statues of him are always outdated. He is known to be hot-tempered and prone to anger, yet many consider his role of destruction to be a balancing and essential force of nature.
He is the brother of Omegus, always clashing with him whenever they cross paths. The two are said to be the children of Ashus through a union between the titan and the primordial Azydos itself. Many orcs and other primal species of the world worship him as their patron deity, as everyone can recognize him as one of their own. Orcs call him ‘Magrath’, and he is the primary god worshiped in their faith as in Abmarah, Orcs were said to be created when Magrath was in Omniborn form during a fight against Nosos. She poisoned and mutated him in an attack, causing his red skin to turn green. He then turned into the first Orc, albeit with four arms. He ejected much of this poison from his body as green sweat, which created the species of the Orcs who swore fealty to the god of destruction and helped him push Nosos back into her realm. Their warrior culture is born from this first fight that is reenacted to this day.
A list of how many people Magmus has killed or what all he has destroyed would be unending. Magmus most famously destroyed the moon of the planet Draxaria called Zaeria, which is now a prominent ring system. He also teamed up with Varkanus to kill Valkan Zuriel who Magmus had long hated.
Most of his different forms have different names, with Magmus being the most common. Some of his names are:

Murudev is one of the primary gods worshiped in Ashtadharma, and has a large temple dedicated to him in Kasaaq. He had a greater presence in the eras before, but is still heavily worshiped in the region. Many Changelings worship him as a patron shapeshifting god, and become monks dedicated to his cause. Similarly, many Githzerai worship him due to his balancing of nature.
In the Primordial and First Eras, Maaset was the patron god of the Makhet Empire and the Pharaohs were said to be his Panshera descendants.
