"Saenos of the Stars."
"Sitaaro ki Saedevi."
"Taarai vi Saenus."
—The full titles of the Far One; in Common, Kasaaqi, and Omnikarn respectively.

Saenus, also known as Saedevi, is one of two Omniborn gods. She was appointed as the caretaker of the stars and Voidspace as punishment for her crimes against divinity much like her husband, Krakus. She had killed many gods as an assassin during the Omniborn Crisis for the Temporal Empire, until she too mysteriously switched sides. She took over as the goddess of the stars from the previous titan, Serenox, who she killed. Serenox was one of the two elven creator deities, and the patron goddess of drow. Saenus was forced to take on the duties and powers of Serenox, and became the new goddess of the night. It’s said that this punishment was decreed by Serenox herself who saw the good her killer would do in the future.

She does her job well without faults, and enjoys her solitude—said to be living as a hermit in the far ends of the cosmos. As such, she rarely interacts with mortals or gods, and is disconnected from present events. Despite being married, Saenus and Krakus had some sort of argument that led to them splitting apart, despite being among the last of their species.

She is one of the primary gods worshiped in Ashtadharma, as she is considered to be the patron deity of the Kasaaqi Dynasty. Astrologers can predict the future using her stars and constellations, and many believe that she has a hold over fate itself. The Sitaradham Mandir in Kasaaq was built to honor her, and many believe that she has personally blessed House Zaaba. Saedevi is recognized to be a living example of all eight tenets of Ashtadharma, as she has redeemed herself from her previous failings and sins over the past millennia. She is disliked by solists, who believe that the stars much like the sun are under Sol’s domain.

Môrists surprisingly do not hold bad views of Saenus despite the fact that she killed Serenox. Since the Night Mother named Saenus as her successor herself, they recognize Saenus' ascension as the last wish of their mother. That being said, they do not believe Saenus to be as strong as Serenox and view the young goddess as barely holding the night together.
