The Empire of Makhet was a large empire that controlled much of the eastern Kav'orra Desert as well as the northern Edeni Expanse. It rose after the Beastbirth during the Realmshatter, replacing the giant-led Kingdom of Namhet.
Based on Ancient Egypt, it held a similar culture and was ruled by a line of Leonin Pharaohs. Their religion mainly revolved around the worship of the Ancient Eqosi Gods, but the Pharaohs claimed descent from the god Maaset.
After the rise of Sol Sultana, the empire was replaced by the Surya Sultanate who brought in indic cultures and created the Kasaaqi language, replacing most of the Makheti influence over the region. She renamed the city of Makhet to Kasaaq.
